Brandon James Barr
Brandon James Barr, one day old, died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 22, 2001.
He is survived by his father, Jimmy Barr, and his mother, Kimberly Martinez, both of Las Vegas; and his grandparents, Jim and Chae Barr of Laughlin and Valerie Martinez of Las Vegas.
Visitation is scheduled 4-8 p.m. Tuesday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 9 a.m. Wednesday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens, 6200 S. Eastern Ave.
Goldie Dee Cox Fraser Beck
Goldie Dee Cox Fraser Beck, 99, of Henderson died Friday in a local care center. She was born July 20, 1902, in Waynesboro, Mo. A resident for 29 years, she was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by three husbands, George Cox, Thomas Fraser and Tom Beck.
She is survived by three sons, Chauncey Cox of Talent, Ore., and Clifford E. Cox and Walter G. Cox, both of Las Vegas; six grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 3 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Valley View Memorial Park, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.
Marion E. Bonebrake
Marion E. Bonebrake, 85, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 5, 1916, in Hoopeston, Ill. A resident for 43 years, he was a warehouseman for Ideal Supply.
He is survived by his wife, Rose M.; one daughter, Marian Rose Capper of Las Vegas; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Thursday in Paradise Memorial Gardens, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

June Brand
June Brand, 79, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. She was born April 18, 1922, in Illinois. A resident for 49 years, she was a retired casino supervisor and danced for the "Lucky Girls" during World War II.
She is survived by one daughter, Terri Richards of Las Vegas; four sons, Torris Brand Jr., Monty Brand and Curtis Brand, all of Las Vegas, and Chuck Brand of Brimfield, Ill.; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.
Maria Hauk Bucanac
Maria Hauk Bucanac, 87, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Henderson. A resident for 11 years, she was born Sept. 10, 1914, in Yugoslavia.
She is survived by one son, Steve Bucanac of Anaheim, Calif.; one daughter, Anamaria Estrella of Henderson; one sister, Barbara Riehm of Brazil; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave.
Kyanna Diamond Dobbin
Kyanna Diamond Dobbin, 9, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. She was born May 24, 1992, in Las Vegas. She was a student at J.M. Ullom Elementary.
She is survived by her mother, Jacqueline Dobbin, and her grandmother, Marcell Dobbin.
Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Chapel, Henderson. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park, Henderson.

Dale Gordon Dustin
Dale Gordon Dustin, 64, of Las Vegas died Oct. 18 in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 6, 1937, in New Hampshire. A resident for many years, he was a laborer in the construction industry and an Air Force veteran.
He is survived by four brothers, Richard Dustin of Tilton, N.H., Marty Dustin of Cottonwood, Ariz., Stanley Dustin of Canada and Johnny Dustin of Goshen, N.H.; and two sisters, Barbara Arnold of Goodyear, Ariz., and Shayne Collins of Bear, Del.
Graveside services were scheduled at 1:20 p.m. today in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Nevada Funeral Service-Nevada Cremation or Burial Society, 2983 Fremont St., handled arrangements.
Christine Filomeno
Christine Filomeno, 86, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born July 19, 1915, in Chicago. A resident for 24 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Leonard; two daughters, Lenore Falco of Las Vegas and Georgianne Aiello of Lombard, Ill.; four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation is scheduled 5-7 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday in Palm Chapel, Jones. Graveside services will follow at 11 a.m. Thursday in Palm Memorial Park.
Jason R. Hanson
Jason R. Hanson, 21, of Henderson died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 9, 1980, in Virginia, Minn. A resident for 10 years, he was a food server.
He is survived by his mother, Bobbee Soto of Henderson; his father and stepmother, Kent and Paige Hanson of Scott Air Force Base, Ill.; two brothers, Steven Hanson and David Soto, and one sister, Christina Soto, all of Henderson; one stepbrother, TiJae Stevens, and one stepsister, Tiffany Hillman, both of Scott Air Force Base; and his grandparents, Donna Leven of Maryland, N.Y., and Richard Leven of Annapolis, Md.
Visitation is private. Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

Irwin 'Irv' Newman
Irwin "Irv" Newman, 66, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 12, 1935, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for three years, he was a retired foreign service officer, a Korean War Air Force veteran, a member of the American Society of Travel Agents and the National Foreign Service Association.
He is survived by his wife, Tadako; one daughter, Bonnie Newman-McIntosh of Las Vegas; one son, Charles Newman of Jakarta; his mother, Mollie Strauss of Bethesda, Md.; one brother, Michael Newman of Crofton, Md.; and one sister, Thelma Rausch of Boynton, Fla.
Services were scheduled at 1 p.m. today in King David Memorial Chapel and Cemetery, 2697 Eldorado Lane. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

Eric J. Olson
Eric J. Olson, 33, of Las Vegas died Nov. 19 in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 31, 1968, in Evergreen Park, Ill. A resident for 11 years, he was disabled, a member of the Down Syndrome Organization of Southern Nevada and the Lupus Foundation of Southern Nevada.
He is survived by his parents, Jim and Deanne Olson of Las Vegas; one sister, Shirley Ozio of Dayton, Ohio; and one brother, Carl Olson of Colorado Springs, Colo.
A memorial service will be 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the home of Gordon and Bonny Thornton, 5239 Somerset Drive. Additional services are pending at the Hills Funeral Home, Palos Hills, Ill. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

David Serino, 58, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 1, 1943, in San Francisco. A lifelong resident, he was disabled.
He is survived by his mother, Karol Roscoe, and two sisters, Cheryl Dula and Jami Serino, all of Las Vegas; and two brothers, Michael Serino of Valencia, Calif., and Jim Serino of Las Vegas.
Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Chapel, Eastern. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
John Thomas
John Thomas, 53, of Las Vegas died Nov. 16 in a local hospital. He was born Oct. 9, 1948, in Louisiana. A resident for 45 years, he was a hotel cook.
He is survived by his wife, Everlyn; two daughters, Christina Whatley of North Las Vegas and Lyshone Mcfarlane of Austin, Texas; two sons, Christopher Rimmer of Reno and Lamar Johnson of North Las Vegas; 10 sisters, Johnnie Thomas, Annie Outland, Georgia Thomas, Linda McGilbert, Rebecca Thomas, Eliza Thomas and Shirley Nash, all of Las Vegas, Diane Thomas and Carolyn Thomas, both of Kansas City, Mo., and Delores Williams of Oklahoma; three brothers, T.J. Thomas of Las Vegas and Larry Thomas and Michael Thomas, both of Kansas City; and seven grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 11 a.m.-8 p.m. Tuesday in American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in Greater Bethel Church of God in Christ, 976 Hassell Ave.
Lily Wherry
Lily Wherry, 98, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local care center. She was born Oct. 6, 1903, in Northampton, England. A resident for 25 years, she was a retired welder for a manufacturing company.
She is survived by three daughters, Thelma Fairey of Northampton, Madge Keegan of Adelaide, Australia, and Glenda Moreno of Las Vegas; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 5-7 p.m. Thursday with 6:30 p.m. services in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 4 p.m. Friday in St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church, 1111 Michael Way.
George Lloyd Whitney
George Lloyd Whitney, 63, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. He was born May 23, 1938. A resident for 40 years, he owned and operated a Texaco Station at Eastern and Sahara avenues for 30 years.
He is survived by his wife, Lois Davis Whitney; two daughters, Janet Whitney and Natalie Ramirez; one son, Darrell Whitney; two stepsons, Jim Davis and Doyle Davis; two stepdaughters, Kathy Matthews and Patty Laughlin; seven sisters; one brother; 11 grandchildren, 21 step-grandchildren and 13 step-great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 6-9 p.m. Tuesday and one hour prior to 10 a.m. services Wednesday in the LDS Viking chapel, 3901 E. Viking Road. Burial will be in Utah. Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., and Spillsbury-Beard Mortuary, Mesquite, are handling arrangements.
