Letter: We all must back president in these times
Monday, Nov. 26, 2001 | 8:51 a.m.
In response to Ted Hall's Nov. 4 letter:
President Bush didn't bring the war with him. If Mickey Mouse were president he would have responded to the terror that struck all Americans on 9/11/01. This act of aggression wasn't a whim but a well-orchestrated plan that took years of careful planning.
Do you think this wouldn't have happened if Al Gore was in office? Get a grip, Ted.
I am first and always an American and then a Democrat. Right now we all need to be Americans first and united. We need to support our president and our military. We need to do what we can to help stabilize our economy and live as normal as possible. Be vigilant in our daily lives. Pray a lot and God will take care.
The process will be slow as will the war. But we will bring these terrorists to justice and may well be on the path to peace all over the world.
It has united us as Americans, and never will we ever forget 9/11/01.
God bless America.
