Monday, Nov. 26, 2001 | 9:53 a.m.
Zions Bancorporation of Salt Lake City, owner of Nevada State Bank, today announced the appointment of Doyle Arnold as executive vice president and chief financial officer.
Arnold was formerly group executive vice president for corporate strategy and development at BankAmerica Corp. in San Francisco and prior to that was at Wells Fargo & Co.
"He is one of the business's best strategists, and he has a tremendous background in mergers and acquisitions, which will be of great benefit to our organization as we continue to build our banking business throughout the West," Zions CEO Harris Simmons said of Arnold.
Zions' former CEO, Dale Gibbons, resigned after his arrest in June by Salt Lake County Sheriff's officers on charges of drug possession, dealing in material harmful to a minor and endangering a child.
