With Thanksgiving dinner still lingering in bellies and holiday shopping underway, the Performing Arts Society of Nevada presents its annual jump-start-the-holiday-season concert Saturday at the Winchester Center Theater.
As part of its Brown Bag Concerts, "Jump On the Holidays (Getting into the Mood)" will feature local singers J. Gregory Davis, Bruce Ewing (formerly of the "Forever Plaid" cast), Karen Gay and pianist David Kancsar (also formerly of "Forever Plaid").
"They're wonderfully talented," said Thomas Gallagher, co-founder of the Performing Arts Society of Nevada who, along with John Meren, began the Brown Bag Concerts 11 years ago as a way to feature local and professional talent, while educating the public about performing arts.
The holiday concert, he said, will feature traditional Christmas favorites, such as "O Holy Night," "Angels We Have Heard on High" and such novelty songs as "All I Want for Christmas is my Two Front Teeth."
