Columnist Muriel Stevens: A taste of Thanksgiving leftovers

Aladdin: Tremezzo Italian restaurant and Elements steakhouse will feature Chef Mario Capone's price-fixed holiday menus. Tremezzo's four-course dinner is $39; children under 12, $24. Included are butternut and acorn squash bisque, a salad of baby field greens, a choice of turkey or Chilean seabass, pumpkin torta for dessert and coffee or tea.
Dinner at Elements is $45; children under 12, $27. Included are lump crab cake, a salad of baby romaine and frisee, turkey or prime rib and warm apple Tatin for dessert and coffee or tea. Both restaurants will also offer their regular menus.
Spice Market Buffet ($19.99) is featuring a wide array of holiday foods as well as Italian, Asian, Mexican and Middle Eastern specialties from 11 a.m.-9:30 p.m. Zanzibar Cafe's holiday meal ($19.95) includes butternut squash bisque, wild mushroom ravioli, salad, turkey with all the trimmings or stuffed seabass and a holiday dessert sampler created by Pastry Chef Manfred Scmidhuber. Zanzibar's regular menu is also available.
Mark Miller's Grill Room at MGM Grand: Mark Miller's Grill Room is offering a four-course dinner ($39.95) that includes a choice of Yucatan-style duck tamale or lobster bisque or the signature corn cakes with chipotle shrimp; baby field green salad; a choice of turkey or beef tenderloin or pumpkin-crusted free range chicken breast and a choice of pumpkin cheesecake or pecan pie. A la carte pricing for this dinner is available on request.
Tropicana: The Tropicana will celebrate Thanksgiving with festive meals at the Island Buffet, Calypsos and Savanna. Service for the Thanksgiving Buffet is from is from 11 a.m-10 p.m. Calypsos will feature its regular 24-hour menu as well as a four-course menu holiday menu, ($12.95). Holiday menu service is from 11 a.m.-10 p.m.
The upscale Savanna on the upper level will offer a Thanksgiving menu 5-11 p.m. ($35.95) Included are a shrimp cocktail, salad of butter lettuce, a choice of turkey or baked honey-glazed ham and a choice of pumpkin cheesecake or cranberry mousse tart. Reservations required. Call 739-2376.
Southern-style at Nascar Cafe: Nascar Cafe at the Sahara is offering complete fried turkey dinners for takeout. The takeout meal for four ($49.95) is available for pickup today or on Thanksgiving. Orders must be guaranteed with a credit card. Includes a 12-14 pound turkey, dressing and side dishes. The turkey alone is $39.95. For takeout orders call 734-7223. A fried turkey dinner is offered in the restaurant Thanksgiving Day.
Mount Charleston Lodge: In addition to a Pilgrim's Sunrise Feast, 8-11 a.m. and traditional dinner, 11 a.m.-9 p.m., seasonal wagon or sleigh rides are available for $5 per person. For Thanksgiving meal prices and more call the lodge, 872-5408.
Serious shopping: Friday is the busiest shopping day of the year. Take advantage of early shopping hours. No need to rush. There will be sales galore as the holidays come closer. Wear comfy shoes and take your vitamins. You'll need patience and stamina.
