Three UNLV men on All-Conference team

Three members of the UNLV men's soccer team were named to the 2001 Mountain Pacific Sports Federation All-Conference team.

For the third consecutive year, senior forward Jason Melendez was named to the first team. He ended his Rebel career with 29 goals and 22 assists for 80 points, which ranks sixth all-time in school history.

Senior defender Andrew Hooker also made the first team. He completed his Rebel career having not missed a game, playing and starting in 72 consecutive contests.

Sophomore midfielder Alex Hernandez was named to the second team. He finished tied for second on the team in scoring with eight goals for 16 points this season.
