Food drives planned

Tractor-trailers to be filled
KOMP 92.3-FM is holding its annual food drive starting today at two Vons grocery stores.
Afternoon DJ Big Marty will accept donations at the Vons at Sahara Avenue and Decatur Boulevard, and DJ Cara West will be at the Vons at Sunset Road and Stephanie Street. They will remain until tractor-trailers at each location are full. Donations will go to the Community Food Bank of Clark County.
Holiday baskets are planned
HELP of Southern Nevada will be collecting food Wednesday through Friday at the HELP office, 953 E. Sahara Ave., Suite 208, to provide assistance to families in need this holiday season through its Thanksgiving food basket drive.
Organizations, individuals and volunteers are needed to help secure the items needed for baskets and to help pick up food from various locations conducting food drives.

Public urged to give holiday foods
The Salvation Army is in need of a food products for the Thanksgiving and Christmas season.
For turkeys, hams, and holiday foods, call Major Romolo Giudice at 524-2553 or Bettye Cobb or Jason Queen at 870-4430, Ext. 19.
Deliver turkeys to the ARP, 211 Judson St., North Las Vegas, or to the Salvation Army Homeless Services campus, 31 W. Owens Ave.
