Robert J. Borek

Robert J. Borek, 52, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 16, 1949, in Illinois. A resident for many years, he was a Vietnam War Army veteran.

He is survived by his mother, Elizabeth Borek of Warrenville, Ill.

Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Joshua R. Chappel

Joshua R. Chappel, 21, of Las Vegas died Saturday. He was born Jan. 12, 1980, in Fountain Valley, Calif. A resident for 12 years, he was a laborer and a member of the Teamsters Union.

He is survived by his parents, Kristina and Larry Chappel, one sister, Nicole Chappel, and his grandmother, Connie Ruiz, all of Las Vegas.

A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd.

Kathryna M. Deacon

Kathryna M. Deacon, 81, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. She was born April 8, 1920, in Wilkes-Barre, Pa. A resident for 12 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, John A.; one daughter, Kathy M. of Maryland; four sons, John A. of Florida, Gary M. of Las Vegas, Jeffery D. of California and Steven D. of Maryland; two brothers, Joseph S. of Michigan and William S. of Pennsylvania; and three grandchildren.

Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

Gladys Easton

Gladys Easton, 98, of Henderson died Saturday in Henderson. She was born May 24, 1903, in Pennsylvania. A resident for many years, she was a saleswoman.

She is survived by one grandson, Eric Easton of Henderson.

No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in Pennsylvania. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Wilfred J. Gauthier

Wilfred J. Gauthier, 70, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born April 4, 1931, in Wisconsin. A resident for 29 years, he was a bulk weldable operator for Timet, a Korean War Army veteran and a member of United Steel Workers of America Local 4856.

He is survived by his wife, Thea M.; two daughters, Suzanne Peckman of Henderson and Nancy Thurman of Las Vegas; one son, John Gauthier of Las Vegas; one brother, Burt Gauthier of Marshall, Wis.; and three grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 3-7 p.m. Tuesday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday in Eden Vale Memorial Park.

Wayne Gavin Kinnard

Wayne Gavin Kinnard, 31, of North Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. A laborer, he was born Aug. 8, 1970, in Ohio.

He is survived by his mother, Alma Kinnard of Huron, Ohio.

No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in Ohio. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Norma Supe Oliveros

Norma Supe Oliveros, 73, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. A banker, she was born Sept. 3, 1928, in the Philippines.

She is survived by her husband, Irineo of Seattle; two daughters, Marie Cristine Oliveros of Las Vegas and Irma Agapay of Bothell, Wash.; one son, Ernie Oliveros of Washington state; one brother, Nardo Supe of the Philippines; and four sisters, Elvira Manalo, Cecilia Gonzales and Josefina Baluyut, all of the Philippines, and Rosita Salapong of Las Vegas.

Services will be 3:30 p.m. Saturday in Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson. Burial will be private.

Barbara Mary Olson

Barbara Mary Olson, 80, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born May 4, 1921, in Bernalillo, N.M. A resident for 61 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Orwin; two sons, Jim Olson and Dennis Olson, both of Las Vegas; five sisters, Camille Schofield of San Diego, Mary Barrack and Betty Jo Stafford, both of Albuquerque, Nora Rollins of Charleston, Mo., and Thelma Koury of Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled 5 p.m. until a 7 p.m. rosary Tuesday in Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd. Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Christopher's Catholic Church, 1840 N. Bruce St. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens, 6200 S. Eastern Ave.

Edna V. Pascucci

Edna V. Pascucci, 82, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born June 22, 1919, in Massachusetts. A resident for two years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by three sons, Donald L. Pascucci of Chino, Calif., Philip A. Pascucci of Las Vegas and David M. Pascucci of Phoenix; one sister, Irene Trani of California; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
