Driver, 63, dies in crash
A 63-year-old Las Vegas man died Sunday in a two-vehicle accident when he was partially ejected from his van, Metro Police said.
An 18-year-old female driver of a car apparently failed stop at a stop sign at Red Rock Street at Twain Avenue about 8:40 p.m. Sunday and collided with a minivan driven by the 63-year-old man, police said.
The man, whose name was not released this morning, died at the scene.
The 18-year-old driver of the car, her passenger and a passenger in the van were taken to University Medical Center with minor injuries, police said.
Man, 29, found dead in parking lot
A man was found dead Sunday morning from gunshot wounds in a parking lot of an apartment complex near J Street and Lake Mead Boulevard, Metro Police said.
Officers and paramedics found the 29-year-old man dead in the parking lot in the 1800 block of J Street after receiving a call concerning a shooting about 8:30 a.m. Sunday, homicide Lt. Wayne Petersen said. When
Witnesses told police that after they heard multiple shots, they saw four men drive off in the victim's car.
The car, a 1981 yellow or tan Chevrolet Monte Carlo with a Nevada license plate of 963 MSD, is still missing.

Woman in critical condition
A woman remained in critical condition Sunday after a hit-and-run driver knocked her down Saturday and then ran over her in an alley off Stewart Avenue at 23rd Street, Metro Police said.
Alma Garcia, 29, was standing in an alley with several other people about 11:45 p.m. Saturday when a car going east in the alley struck her. Garcia was carried about 85 feet before falling to the ground. The car drove over her as it fled south on 23rd Street, then west on Stewart Avenue, police said.
The driver of the car is unknown, but police said the car was a brown four-door model, possibly a Ford. The car may also have front end, hood or windshield damage.

20-year-old arrested in killing
Metro Police have arrested a 20-year-old man on a murder charge after finding another man shot to death in a car Friday night near Vegas and Rancho drives, Metro Police said.
Manny Ocanas, 20, was arrested after police traced him to an apartment near Washington Avenue and Jones Boulevard, homicide detective Sgt. Rocky Alby said.
Ocanas was booked into the Clark County Detention Center on one count of murder with use of a deadly weapon.
Police received a call about 9:30 p.m. that a man was being chased by a gunman in the 1200 block of Arrowhead Avenue near Vegas and Rancho drives, Alby said. A separate call was placed at the same time about a man in a car who had apparently been shot.
When police arrived, they found a 21-year-old man in the front passenger seat dead from a single gunshot wound, Alby said. His name is being withheld until police notify next of kin.
