Letter: Simple slogan to honor victims
Monday, Nov. 12, 2001 | 8:42 a.m.
I can remember the war slogans, "Remember the Alamo," "Remember the Maine," and "Remember Pearl Harbor." To me something seems to be lost in "United We Stand." I feel that goes without saying.
I would like to say "Remember 9/11." It has a ring to it that brings out the horror that was brought upon us and the deep-down feelings of sorrow for the victims and their survivors. All this coupled with the necessary action to not let this happen again.
Remember 9/11.
