Marco A. Acevedo

Marco A. Acevedo, 77, of Henderson died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 11, 1923, in Colombia. A resident for 10 years, he was a maintenance worker in local hospitals and a train conductor in Colombia for 20 years.

He is survived by his wife, Aura; three daughters, Gladys Se Pedjian of Glendale, Calif., Teresa Alcazar of Las Vegas and Daisy Gibson of San Diego; four sons, Hector Acevedo and Edgar Acevedo, both of Las Vegas, Ernie Acevedo of Henderson and William Ybanez of Los Angeles; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday in Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd. Burial will be private.

Daniel K. Barth

Daniel K. Barth, 77, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 1, 1924, in Chicago. A resident for seven years, he was a retired truck driver, a World War II Army veteran, a member of the American Legion and Moose.

He is survived by his significant other, Gail Mengelkamp, and one sister, Violet Gaides, both of Las Vegas.

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens, 7251 W. Lone Mountain Road.

Ralph Vernon Callahan

Ralph Vernon Callahan, 86, of Melbourne, Ark., died Friday in Melbourne. He was born Sept. 27, 1915, in Missouri. A former Las Vegas resident for many years, he was a retired railroad engineer, a 32nd degree Mason, a member of the Scottish Rite Bodies and Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers.

He is survived by his wife, Lily; one son, Raymond Callahan of Melbourne; one daughter, Perry Baxter of Newport, Calif.; three brothers, Wayne Callahan of Ramona, Calif., Lawrence Callahan of San Jose, Calif., and Leo Callahan of Sperry, Okla.; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 9:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. services Friday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Burial will follow in Eden Vale Memorial Park.

Jose Antonio Chavez

Jose Antonio Chavez, 86, of North Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born Jan. 16, 1915, in El Salvador. A resident for 20 years, he was a retired master electrician who spent more than 40 years working to extend the Rural Electrification Network throughout El Salvador and served in the armed forces of El Salvador during the 1930s.

He is survived by four daughters, Maria O'Connor of Henderson and Concepcion Chavez, Consuelo Lopez and Alicia Chavez, all of North Las Vegas; one son, Jose Chavez of North Las Vegas; one stepson, Ricardo Bonilla of Las Vegas; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday in Palm Chapel, Main. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park.

Italo Frank Crocco

Italo Frank Crocco, 66, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born Oct. 6, 1935, in Italy. A resident for three years, he was a retired operator of a private club and a member of Sun City Men's Golf Association.

He is survived by his significant other, Julie Roskelley of Las Vegas; two sons, Robbie Crocco of Reno and Rick Crocco of Salt Lake City; two daughters, Mindi Bos and Kim Ellison, both of Salt Lake City; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.

Thomas Reid Fagan

Thomas Reid Fagan, 62, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 20, 1939, in Yonkers, N.Y. A resident for five years, he was an automotive salesman.

He is survived by one brother, James Fagan of Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled 5-7 p.m. Friday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North.

Henry Fisher

Henry Fisher, 72, of North Las Vegas died Monday in North Las Vegas. He was born May 31, 1929, in Jasper, Texas. A resident for nine years, he was a retired government cook and a Korean War Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Mamie; two daughters, Leona Armstead of Pacoima, Calif., and Yvonne Miller of Barstow, Calif.; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Nicholas Gianikos

Nicholas Gianikos, 87, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Jan. 20, 1914, in Pennsylvania. A resident for 46 years, he was a bartender, a Marine Corps veteran, a member of the First Marine Division Association-Las Vegas chapter, Bartenders Union and American Federation of Culinary Employees.

He is survived by two daughters, Eugenia Rita Condos and Nicollette Price; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Rose Hamilton

Rose Hamilton, 86, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born Oct. 31, 1914, in China.

Edward Kaufman

Edward Kaufman, 79, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospice. He was born Dec. 4, 1921, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for nine years, he was a retired president of K's Furniture Mart in Peoria, Ill., a World War II Army veteran, a member of the Jewish Community Center of Southern Nevada, Temple Bet Knesset, Bamidbar, Daylite Lodge 44 F&AM, Zelzah Shrine Temple and Summerlin Shrine Club.

He is survived by his wife, Nadine; one daughter, Flynee Kirshenbaum of Bellevue, Wash.; one son, Marc Kaufman of Mercer Island, Wash.; one sister, Ethel Adler of Peoria; and four grandchildren.

Services will be 1 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Graveside services will follow in Palm Memorial Park, Northwest, 5701 N. Jones Blvd.

Raymond C. Kent Jr.

Raymond C. Kent Jr., 82, of North Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born Feb. 21, 1919, in Knoxville, Tenn. A resident for one year, he was a manager in the aerospace industry, a member of Menlo Park Masonic Lodge 651 and York Rite Bodies in Palo Alto, Calif.

He is survived by his wife, Evelyn; one son, Philip Doersam Jr. of Las Vegas; one sister, Ruth Hill, and one brother, Earl Kent, both of Knoxville, Tenn.

Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Natalia Morales

Natalia Morales, 6 months, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born April 17, 2001, in Las Vegas.

She is survived by her parents, Jessica and Valentin Morales, one sister, Aracely Quintanar, and one brother, Anthony Morales, all of Las Vegas.

Graveside services will be in California. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Gregory Lee Ostrander

Gregory Lee Ostrander, 41, of Las Vegas died Sunday. A lifelong resident, he was born Nov. 29, 1959, in Las Vegas.

He is survived by three brothers, Dennis Ray Clark of St. George, Utah, Randall P. Clark of Las Vegas and Richard K. "Rico" Ostrander of Fayetteville, N.C.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Friday in Memory Gardens, 7251 W. Lone Mountain Road. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.

James W. Pastorius Jr.

James W. Pastorius Jr., 69, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 28, 1932, in Rockford, Ill. A resident for more than 20 years, he was a retired delivery man and salesman for a beverage company, a Marine Corps veteran and a member of the American Legion.

He is survived by two daughters, Kathy Payne of Chillicothe, Ohio, and Karen Crawford of Las Vegas; two sons, R.J. Pastorius and Guy Pastorius, both of Sacramento; one sister, Mrs. Pratt; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling private arrangements.

Eduardo Perez

Eduardo Perez, 42, of Las Vegas died July 14 in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 10, 1958.

Sonia Teresa Perez

Sonia Teresa Perez, 63, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Oct. 15, 1938, in Cuba. A resident for 35 years, she was a retired Maxim hotel dry cleaning clerk and a member of the Culinary Union.

She is survived by two sons, Frank Perez Jr. of Las Vegas and Albert Perez of Sylmar, Calif.; two daughters, Isabel Corbett and Rebecca McCollom, her father, Edwardo Guerrero, and one sister, Tania Garcia, all of Las Vegas; and eight grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday in the LDS chapel at 7500 Tule Springs Road. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.

Raymond M. Pratt

Raymond M. Pratt, 48, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. He was born April 12, 1953, in Ignacio, Calif. A resident for 35 years, he was a casino video maintenance technician and a Vietnam War Marine Corps veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Ingerlise S.; one daughter, Stephanie Pratt of San Diego; two sons, Christopher M. Pratt of Beauford, S.C., and Alan Pratt of Las Vegas; his father, Ira Pratt of Las Vegas; three sisters, Lynn Dohme of Houston, MaryKatherine Zawacki of Chicago and Martha Stange of Berkley, Mich.; two brothers, James Vinton Pratt of Las Vegas and Stanley MacNish of Hampton, Calif.; and one grandchild.

Jeanne Price-Herman

Jeanne Price-Herman, 70, of Henderson died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born Aug. 25, 1931, in Orange County, Calif. A resident for 70 years, she was a retired accountant and a member of the Eastern Star-Southgate Chapter.

She is survived by her husband, Harry; and two sisters, Patricia Beggerly and Jackie May, both of Las Vegas.

A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

Patrice Riley

Patrice Riley, 70, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born July 31, 1931, in Chicago. A resident for 10 years, she was a retired teacher.

She is survived by five sons, Michael Riley of Malaysia, Sean Riley of Los Angeles, Peter Riley of Florida, Patrick Riley of Las Vegas and James Riley of Colorado; and one daughter, Anne Riley Roberts.

A memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the Thai Temple of Nevada, 3604 N. Torrey Pines Drive. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Grant 'Eddie' Truell

Grant "Eddie" Truell, 80, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born July 20, 1921, in Linden, Tenn. A resident for 41 years, he was a retired dealer, a Korean War and World War II Navy veteran and a member of American Association of Retired Persons.

He is survived by his wife, Odette; two daughters, Michele Truell and Claudette Truell, both of Las Vegas; one brother, Ferguson Truell of Jackson, Tenn.; and three sisters, Elva Truell and June Bates, both of California and Louise Truell of Jackson.

Graveside services will be 12:40 p.m. Wednesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Shawna Marie Wadman

Shawna Marie Wadman, 38, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born June 15, 1963, in Provo, Utah. A resident for many years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by two sons, Phillip Lynde and William Wadman, two daughters, Cheyanne Lynde and Amber Hairabedian, and her fiance, David A. Hairabedian, all of Las Vegas; three brothers, Tom Jolley and Edwin Jolley, both of Las Vegas, and Dale Jolley of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; and one sister, Cherlynn Martorano of Lindenhurst, N.Y.

Cresson Wilson

Cresson Wilson, 73, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born April 8, 1928, in Rosignol, Guyana. A resident for nine years, he was a retired welder.

He is survived by his wife, Eunice; three sons, Samuel Wilson of Las Vegas and Michael Wilson and James Wilson, both of Guyana; four daughters, Beverly Wilson of Las Vegas, and Volda Gibbs and Ruth Wilson, both of Guyana, and Mary Herkens of Dutch Guyana; one brother, Oswald Wilson of Guyana; 19 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 1-5 p.m. Saturday in Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd.
