Laptops allowed at trade show

Key3Media Group Inc., organizer of next week's Comdex trade show and convention, Wednesday reversed course and said laptop computers would be allowed at the Las Vegas event.
The decision came days after the firm issued an unusually strict security policy that prevented techies from lugging around bags, briefcases and portable computers.
Laptops, fanny-packs and purses will now be allowed into the Las Vegas Convention Center during the Nov. 11-16 trade show, Comdex organizers said in a statement.
