Chaparral, Gorman players named MVPs

After helping their teams into this week's 4A State Boys Soccer Tournament, Bishop Gorman midfielder Joe Zaher (Southwest) and Chaparral midfielder Julian Cruz (Northeast) have been named MVPs in their respective divisions by area coaches.

Also honored with MVP awards were Centennial forward Tyler Canada (Northwest), who led the Bulldogs to a division title, and Silverado goalkeeper Michael Lawrence (Southeast), who led the area with 11 shutouts.
