Preps: Three Southern teams in state soccer meet

Bishop Gorman (15-0-1), Green Valley (16-0-3) and Chaparral (17-1-1) will represent Southern Nevada in the four-team NIAA/U.S. Bank 4A State Tournament this week at Reed High School in Sparks. The Gaels earned their spot with a 3-2 win over Centennial Saturday in the Sunset Region finale. The Gators triumphed 1-0 in overtime over the Cowboys in the Sunrise championship, with both teams advancing. They will be joined by Northern Region winner Reno (11-2-2), which outlasted Reed in a 6-5 shootout after a scoreless contest.
