Attorney alleges blackjack game rules are misleading

A gambler sued to recover $400 he claimed he lost playing blackjack machines at New York-New York hotel-casino in Las Vegas because of what he claims are false and misleading rules of play on the International Game Technology Game King machines.

California attorney Thomas Nitti sued the state Gaming Control Board to overturn the board's decision to uphold its agent's decision to deny him reimbursement.

He alleged he was misled by false rules of play because he wasn't offered options allegedly displayed on the machines' screens to double his bet, split to play two hands or insurance.

The Board, in a decision issued Sept. 13, said Nitti's claims had "no merit."

The Board declined comment on Nitti's lawsuit.
