Letter: We will suffer under Bush
Friday, Nov. 2, 2001 | 8:50 a.m.
This is in response to Warren Willis Sr.'s letter, "Thank goodness Bush is in the White House."
Mr. Willis claims President Bush will save our education system. Texas ranked 47th in education. Does Mr. Willis really want 46 other states to lower their standards?
He also claims these terrorists are 12th century thugs. Well, I guess they would have been if Ronald Reagan hadn't armed and trained them.
It is now believed Saddam Hussein is involved in this terrorism. Gee, didn't another Republican go after him? Wasn't it President Bush's daddy?
Will our economy suffer under Bush's leadership? It has and it will. President Bush is already worried he will be a one-term president like his father. I don't know why he is worried -- he will be.
Yes, Mr. Willis, Bush did steal the election fair and square. He had the Supreme Court stop the counting and, yes, America has suffered and will continue to suffer because of it.
