Televised job fair tonight

KLVX Channel 10 will air a job fair program at 8 p.m. tonight aimed at assisting the thousands of recently laid off people in the Las Vegas Valley.

The 90-minute program called "JobQuest" will include a call-in period during which members of social service agencies, non-profit organizations, job referral services and credit counseling services will answer questions from callers.

About 100 job openings are expected to be posted during the show, program organizers said.

Las Vegas employers can submit job openings during the broadcast by calling 737-7500, or prior to the broadcast via e-mail at jobquest@klvx.org.
