Currently: Jackson, a 6-1, 210-pound running back, has made an impact in his first season with the Beavers, rushing for 159 yards in five games -- third among Oregon State players -- and amassing 99 yards on kickoff returns. In a 38-7 loss to UCLA on Sept. 29, Jackson raced 63 yards for his first collegiate TD, helping his squad avoid a shutout. The 2-4 Beavers host California Saturday.
Looking back: The Sun's 2000 State Offensive Player of the Year, Jackson was a dominant offensive force during his varsity career, racking up 3,976 rushing yards and 51 rushing touchdowns during his final two seasons with the Sundevils. As a senior, he carried a whopping 386 times for 2,764 yards and 34 touchdowns, helping Eldorado to the Sunrise Region title and an appearance in the 4A State Tournament.
