The Nevada Taxicab Authority has nominated three men to be considered to replace the agency's retiring administrator.
Bob Anselmo, 70, who has served as administrator for six years, announced he will retire July 6. His successor will be selected by Sydney Wickliffe, director of the Department of Business and Industry.
The Taxicab Authority oversees Clark County's 14 taxi companies. Taxis in other counties are regulated by the Transportation Services Authority.
Nominees forwarded by board include Leonard P. Gilbert, an attorney specializing in labor arbitration and a one-time hearing officer for the Taxicab Authority; Roy C. Pechous, who operated American Airborne Corp., a limousine service serving the Chicago area; and John R. Plunkett III, chief of enforcement for the Nevada Transportation Services Authority.
