BAY ST. LOUIS, Miss. --- Twenty-seven people were injured Monday when a tour bus returning to Atlanta drove off an Interstate 10 on-ramp in south Mississippi.
Most of the injuries were minor, according to emergency officials. Only three were described as moderate to serious.
The bus had some 45 passengers.
The bus was en route to Atlanta from Casino Magic in Bay St. Louis when it left the I-10 on-ramp at Mississippi 603.
Authorities said the bus had moderate damage after going through a ditch and coming to rest on the shoulder of the road.
Most of the injured passengers were treated and released at area hospitals.
The Atlanta-based tour bus company involved in the accident is named Haslem, officials said.
