Play presented
Actors Repertory Theatre presents "Gypsy," a musical fable suggested by the memoirs of Gypsy Rose Lee, at 8 p.m. today and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday at the Summerlin Library Theatre. Tickets are $15-$20.

Patriotic favorites
The Desert Chorale, joined by the Nevada Symphonic Wind Ensemble, presents its annual Memorial Day Extravaganza at 7:30 p.m. today at Artemus Ham Concert Hall. The program will include American music, patriotic favorites and a salute to the Armed Forces. Tickets are $5. Call 895-2787.
A cappella
InsideOut A cappella, a six-man vocal band that sings "golden oldies," hits of the '80s and '90s and original works, will perform at 7:30 p.m. today and Saturday at the Las Vegas Academy of Performing Arts, 375 S. Seventh St. Proceeds will benefit the school's music program. Tickets are $10; $7 for students; $5 for children under 12. Call 799-7800.
Local sounds
Worldfolk's third annual "B.O.B." Battle of the Bands Festival, a competition featuring more than 150 local bands and musicians, begins Thursday at Legends Lounge, 865 N. Lamb Blvd. Shows continue throughout June. For times and locations call 220-6043.

Tap Dance Day
Henry Le Tang and Peggy Ryan and her TNT dancers will join other local tap stars and jazz musicians to celebrate the Las Vegas' 8th annual National Tap Dance Day Celebration at 3 p.m. today and Saturday at the Winchester Community Center, 3130 S. McLeod Drive. Tickets are $7; $5 for seniors and students under 12. Call 455-7340.
