Ruth Abbott
Ruth Abbott, 78, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. A homemaker, she was born Aug. 25, 1922, in Stockton, Calif.
She is survived by two daughters, Billy Jo Abbott of Las Vegas and Nickola Livingston of Denver; one brother, Albert Wilbur, and one sister, Laura Wilbur, both of California; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.
Manuel Andres
Manuel Andres, 67, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 25, 1933, in Buenos Aires, Argentina. A resident for 4 1/2 years, he was an electronics engineer for a television station.
He is survived by his wife, Cristina; three sons, Jorge Andres, Eduardo Andres and Steven Andres, all of California; one daughter, Adrienne Andres of Las Vegas; and two grandchildren.
American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane, is handling private arrangements.
Harry E. Bartel
Harry E. Bartel, 90, of Manchester, Wash., died Wednesday in Manchester. He was born Aug. 19, 1910, in Chehalis, Wash. A former Las Vegas resident, he was a retired store manager for Sears in Las Vegas, a men's store owner and a World War II Navy veteran.
He is survived by one son, Steven; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren;
Mass will be celebrated in St. Mary's Traditional Catholic Church in Washington.
The family suggests donations to St. Mary's Catholic Church, 757 138th S., Tacoma, WA 98444.
Lena T. Battista
Lena T. Battista, 86, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local health care center. She was born May 12, 1915, in Geneva, N.Y. A resident for seven years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Nicholas; one daughter, Theresa Battista, and one son, Joseph Battista, both of Las Vegas; two sisters, Jeanette Antonucci of South Carolina and Caroline Baker of Buffalo, N.Y.; one brother, Anthony DaLuisio of Buffalo; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.
Edward Thomas Billigen
Edward Thomas Billigen, 83, of Henderson died Thursday in Henderson. He was born July 29, 1917, in Monaca, Pa. A resident for 10 years, he was self-employed in the concrete block industry and an Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Cosma; two sons, Gregory Billigen of Henderson and Thomas Billigen of Wisconsin; two sisters, Mary Wieler of Monaca and Alma Fooland of New York; and two grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
Viola M. Brown
Viola M. Brown, 90, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospice. She was born Aug. 27, 1910, in Norton, Kan. A resident for eight years, she was a retired seamstress.
She is survived by one daughter, Lora J. Countryman of Las Vegas; one son, Russell C. Brown of Meridian, Idaho; six grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Samuel Bycel
Samuel Bycel, 89, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 12, 1911, in Connecticut. A resident for many years, he was in the liquor business.
He is survived by his wife, Grace.
No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in Los Angeles. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
Robert Brown Davidson
Robert Brown Davidson, 75, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 23, 1925, in Highland Park, Mich. A resident for 12 years, he was a retired Army sergeant first class and World War II veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Joan M.; two sons, Bruce M. Davidson and Brian R. Davidson, both of Las Vegas; one sister, Patsy Dempsey of Belfast, Ireland; and three grandchildren.
Graveside services were 11 a.m. today in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.
The family suggests donations to the American Cancer Society, 1325 E. Harmon Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89119.
Anna K. Felgar
Anna K. Felgar, 83, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 5, 1917, in Pennsylvania. A resident for many years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by two sons, Vincent Felgar and Stephen Felgar, both of Las Vegas; four sisters, Julie Solerno of Niles, Ohio, Veronica Dancho and Sophie Kravetz, both of Smock, Pa., and Kate Borovitsky of Youngstown, Ohio; and three grandchildren.
No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in Pennsylvania. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
Donald F. Grasenick
Donald F. Grasenick, 66, of Chicago and Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born July 30, 1934, in Chicago. A seasonal resident for six years, he was a retired airline mechanic and an Air Force veteran.
He is survived by his fiancee, Edna A. Loeding of Niles, Ill.; and one sister, Edith Ansay of Chicago.
A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.

Jimmy Ray Green
Jimmy Ray Green, 56, of Pahrump died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born Oct. 14, 1944, in California. A resident for one year, he was a security officer in the entertainment industry and an Army veteran.
He is survived by two sons, Jimmy Ray Green Jr. and Nicholas Owen Green; three daughters, Debby Kapitan, Joelle Swaney and Anna; his parents, Charles N. and Betty J. Green; one brother, Charles D. Green; two sisters, Kathy Brundage and Nancy Silva; and six grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.
Isabel Jean Laity
Isabel Jean Laity, 75, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born July 12, 1925, in Hawaii. A resident for 50 years, she was a retired hotel cashier.
She is survived by her husband, Ken; one son, Rick Nunn of Spring Creek; one daughter, Linda Crisp of Hendersonville, N.C.; five grandchildren and three great-grandsons.

Margie D. Moore, 75, of Henderson died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born May 29, 1925, in Texas. A resident for many years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Wilmer; and three sons, Mark Moore, Bruce Moore and Roger Moore, all of Florida.

Ruby Mae Morris, 90, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local care center. She was born Sept. 21, 1910, in Ohio County, Ky. A resident for seven years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, John; one daughter, Jewell Lancaster of Las Vegas; six stepchildren including stepson, John Morris of Horse Branch, Ky.; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 9:30-10 a.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Graveside services will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
James B. Oldfield
James B. Oldfield, 69, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local care center. He was born Feb. 1, 1932, in Van Zandt County, Texas. A resident for 41 years, he was a taxicab driver for Ace Cab and a Korean War Air Force veteran.
He is survived by one son, William R. Oldfield of Long Beach, Calif.; three brothers, Macky D. Oldfield of Amarillo, Texas, Billy J. Oldfield of Dallas and Richard D. Oldfield of Las Vegas; and two sisters, Francis M. Norton and Faye Williams, both of Dallas.
Visitation is scheduled 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday in Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd. Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens.
Helen S. Parco
Helen S. Parco, 83, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a life care center. She was born Sept. 29, 1917, in Philadelphia. A resident for 22 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Michael Sr.; one son, Michael Parco Jr. of Henderson; and four grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd.
Hamer William Patterson
Hamer William Patterson, 80, of Henderson died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 20, 1921,in Altoona, Pa. A resident for five years, he was a retired Air Force veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Yoneko; one daughter, Patricia Gilbert; and two sons, Pat Patterson and Jerry Patterson.
A memorial service will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Buchanan Blvd., Boulder City. Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.
Patrick Henry Phalen
Patrick Henry Phalen, 59, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 12, 1941, in Lima, Ohio. A resident for five years, he was a baggage handler for Signature Air Line Company.
He is survived by one brother, Mickey Phalen of Los Lunas, N.M.; and one sister, Ann Davidson of Paonia, Colo.
Services will be private. Nevada Funeral Service, 2983 Fremont St., handled arrangements.
Kambiz Sepahbodi
Kambiz Sepahbodi, 53, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born Jan. 16, 1948, in Tehran, Iran. A resident for 20 years, he was a poker dealer.
He is survived by his mother, Khadijeh Sepahbodi; one brother, Kamran Sepahbodi; and one sister, Shirin.
Services were scheduled at 1:30 p.m. today, followed by burial in Paradise Memorial Gardens. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, handled arrangements.
Samuel Surgeon
Samuel Surgeon, 84, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 7, 1918, in Valentine, Neb. A resident for more than 50 years, he was an electrician and was a veteran.
He is survived by two daughters, Patsy Piercey of North Las Vegas and Shirley Lewis of Twin Falls, Idaho; one brother, Oscar Surgeon of Yakima, Wash.; two stepbrothers; one stepsister; eight grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will be private.
Floyd Minor Turner
Floyd Minor Turner, 74, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 13, 1926, in Peabody, Kan. A resident for 42 years, he was a stagehand, a Navy veteran and a member of the NRA and Eagles.
He is survived by his companion, Deloris Eldridge of Las Vegas; three daughters, Jody DeCarli of Las Vegas, Diana Dean of Chico, Calif., and Christie Turner of Turlock, Calif.; one son, David F. Turner of Aptos, Calif.; two brothers, Mel Turner of Las Vegas and Wayne Turner of Panaca; three sisters, Nancy Turner of Las Vegas, Dorothy Bailey of Tennessee and Melva Irvine of Santa Clara, Calif.; and six grandchildren.
A memorial service will 4 p.m. Sunday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North.
