The attorney general's office filed court papers Thursday seeking to move the upcoming wrongful termination trial of former investigator Mike Anzalone to Reno.
Senior Deputy Attorney General Patrick King said in the papers that the July 10 trial should be moved outside of Las Vegas in part because of articles in the Las Vegas Sun that he contended maligned his office.
Anzalone filed suit against Attorney General Frankie Sue Del Papa in February 1998, alleging he was forced to resign because he wouldn't participate in a secret intelligence investigation of top gaming regulators.
