Litigation arises over Scintas show
Thursday, May 24, 2001 | 10:26 a.m.
A Las Vegas entertainment agent that represents a production show at the Rio hotel-casino has sued another agent, alleging fraud.
Best Shot Entertainment LLC, which owns the rights to the Scintas Production Show, a family entertainment group performing at the Rio, filed suit in Clark County District Court against Front Row Entertainment Inc.
Best Shot said it signed a representation agreement with Front Row in March 2000 in which Front Row agreed to promote the Scintas for a percentage commission.
Under terms of the agreement, Front Row said it would represent Best Shot's interests before Nevada gaming regulators, saying the entertainers needed a license and state approval to have their acts in a casino, the lawsuit said.
When Best Shot learned that the state doesn't license entertainers, it filed the fraud suit. Best Shot seeks more than $10,000 in damages.
Representatives of Front Row could not be reached for comment.
