Louis Beckenstein
Louis Beckenstein, 77, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born May 27, 1923, in Poland. A resident for six years, he was a retired owner-operator of a dry cleaning establishment, a World War II Army veteran and a board member of Temple Beth El in Closter, N.J.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara; and three sons, Lawrence Beckenstein of Long Beach, N.Y., Allen Beckenstein of New York City and William Beckenstein of Somerset, N.J.
Services were scheduled at 4 p.m. today in King David Memorial Chapel and Cemetery, 2697 Eldorado Lane.
The family suggests donations to the Family Home Hospice, 1701 W. Charleston Blvd., Las Vegas, NV 89102.
Agnes Pauline Cutbirth
Agnes Pauline Cutbirth, 89, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born June 26, 1911, in El Reno, Okla. A resident for 35 years, she was a retired waitress.
She is survived by two sons, Charles Martlatt and Richard Cutbirth, both of Las Vegas; three grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Graveside services will be 9 a.m. Wednesday in Palm Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.
Nicholas Joseph Daigle
Nicholas Joseph Daigle, 42, of North Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born Feb. 15, 1959, in New Orleans. A resident for 15 years, he was a printer.
He is survived by his wife, Donna; one son, Andrew Daigle, and one daughter, Nikki Daigle, both of North Las Vegas; his mother, Myrtis Daigle of Baltimore; two brothers, Maurice Daigle Jr. of New Orleans and Ernest Daigle of Pensacola, Fla.; and two sisters, Debbie Suls of Baltimore and Lilia Trooup of Raleigh, N.C.
Visitation is scheduled 1-4 p.m. Wednesday in Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd.
Russell Grano
Russell Grano, 103, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local health care center. He was born Jan. 15, 1898, in Italy. A resident for 59 years, he was a retired barber shop owner-operator and a member of the Barbers Union.
He is survived by one daughter, Lela Guinther of Ohio; one stepson, William C. Harvey, and two stepdaughters, Patsy Draper and Barbara Schoenmakers, all of Las Vegas; six grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 15 great-great-grandchildren.
Services were scheduled at 11 a.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., followed by burial in Bunkers Memory Gardens, 7251 W. Lone Mountain Road.
Berl Maretsky
Berl Maretsky, 67, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born April 4, 1933, in Pennsylvania. A resident for many years, he was a postal clerk.
He is survived by his wife, Phyllis.
No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in Pennsylvania. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
Kent Mills
Kent Mills, 64, of Henderson died Saturday in Henderson. An auto body repairman, he was born Sept. 23, 1936, in Utah.
He is survived by his wife, Nellie; his father, Rex Mills; and his mother, Mern Shaw.
No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in Utah. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
Daniel LaChance Poupard
Daniel LaChance Poupard, 66, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 12, 1935, in Pittsburgh. A resident for 23 years, he was a teacher and musician in the public school system and a member of Wings Over Nevada.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy; three sons, Daniel W. Poupard of Phoenix, David Poupard of Pittsburgh and Christopher Poupard of Las Vegas; one daughter, Catherine Poghen of Las Vegas; his mother, Ruth Poupard, and one sister, Theodora Poupard, both of Pittsburgh; one brother, Joseph Poupard of Schenectady, N.Y.; and seven grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in Woodlawn Cemetery. Nevada Funeral Service-Nevada Cremation or Burial Society, 2983 Fremont St., is handling arrangements.
The family suggests donations to Dobson Warner Chiropractic Association, 2015 N. Dobson, No. 3, Chandler, AZ 85224.
Irene M. Rachael
Irene M. Rachael, 73, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local care center. She was born Dec. 7, 1927, in Detroit. A resident for four years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by three daughters, Paula Allen of Grosse Ile, Mich., Kathi House of Las Vegas and Patty Hunter of West Bloomfield, Mich.; two sons, William L. Porter of Brownstown, Mich., and Victor Ogrodnik of Eastpointe, Mich.; 17 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 4-8 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Additional visitation is scheduled one hour prior to a 2 p.m. service Tuesday in Cornerstone Christian Fellowship Church, 5825 W. Eldora Ave.
