Consultants hired

Long-time casino executives Darrell Luery and Dean Harrold are consulting Italian investor Fabrizio Boccardi in his efforts to build or buy a megaresort on the Las Vegas Strip.
Luery said Thursday that he and Harrold are acting as consultants for Boccardi Capital Systems, but are not executives of the company. Luery, former chief executive of the Regent Las Vegas, is stepping down as the property's vice chairman at the end of the month; Harrold, former president of Caesars Palace, resigned in February.
"I've been doing some consulting work for (Boccardi) in his exploration of obtaining a property in Las Vegas, and what the theming and financial performance might be," Luery said.
Luery said Boccardi has identified a property, as well as a concept, but declined to disclose what property Boccardi was pursuing.
