Foster mother wants to send kids to camp
Wednesday, May 16, 2001 | 8:24 a.m.
One foster mother would like to send the children she cares for to camp this summer.
Her two foster sons, ages 10 and 7, would benefit from the positive environment at camp, she says.
The boys would get a lot out of interacting with other children and spending time in the outdoors. And the pair are looking forward to all the activities they can participate in at camp.
Sometimes simple things, such as toasting marshmallows and singing around a campfire with other children, or being around camp counselors who are positive role models, are the memories a child carries with her through the rest of her life.
