Pauline Gorley Beach

Pauline Gorley Beach, 93, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local care center. She was born Aug. 17, 1907, in Arkansas. A resident for 11 years, she was a housewife.

She is survived by one sister, Nell McCall Phillips of Dallas; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Services are private. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, handled arrangements.

Robert Lee Bergman

Robert Lee Bergman, 70, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Henderson. He was born July 2, 1930, in Hayes, Kan. A resident for 23 years, he was an Army veteran and an engineer atNellis Air Force Base.

He is survived by his wife, Helen O.; one son, Jeffrey Lee Bergman of Bangkok, Thailand; and two daughters, Christine Joy Bergman of Beaumont, Texas, and Lorraine E. Bergman of Las Vegas.

Graveside services are scheduled 9:30 a.m. Friday in Paradise Memorial Gardens. Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

Cecil A. Budd

Cecil A. Budd, 84, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born July 4, 1916, in Arkon, Ohio. A resident for 20 years, he was an interior decorator.

He is survived by his wife, Mary E.; one daughter, Rita Sikolik of Quartz Hills, Calif.; one son, Robert Budd, and one sister, Helen Sass, both of Las Vegas; one brother, Alvin L. Budd of Indiana; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 8 a.m. until 10 a.m. services Friday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will be in Paradise Memorial Gardens.

June Y. Elbertson

June Y. Elbertson, 80, of Henderson died Sunday in a local care center. She was born Dec. 15, 1920, in Kanab, Utah. A resident for 61 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by two daughters, Ruth Anna Lampson of Palmdale, Calif., and Patty Lee McPherson of Eugene, Ore.; one son, Howard Elbertson of Henderson; one sister, Evelyn Mace of Kanab; two brothers, Clyde R. Young of Kanab and William C. Drew of Las Vegas; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 1-5 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson.

The family suggests donations to the Nathan Adelson Hospice, 4141 S. Swenson St., Las Vegas, NV 89119.

Saturnino Figueroa

Saturnino Figueroa of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. Born Sept. 21, 1910, in Puerto Rico, she was a pastor and a veteran.

She is survived by one daughter, Ruth Genera of Las Vegas; one brother, Be-Be Figueroa, and one sister, Juanita Vargas, both of Puerto Rico.

No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in Whittier, Calif. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, handled arrangements.

Clifford L. Johnson

Clifford L. Johnson, 77, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospice. He was born June 28, 1923, in Orange, Calif. A resident for 30 years, he had been an Army warrant officer.

He is survived by one daughter, Kathy Zumbro of Arkansas; and one grandchild.

Services will be 1 p.m. Friday in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North.

Daniel Kekuhaupio Kamalani

Daniel Kekuhaupio Kamalani, 60, of Las Vegas died April 25 in a local care center. He was born June 8, 1940, in Honolulu. A resident for 11 years, he was a taxi driver and an Vietnam War Army veteran.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane, is handling arrangements.

Frances King

Frances King, 66, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born Aug. 26, 1934, in Kingsland, Ark. A resident for 42 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one son, Tyrone Williams, and three daughters, Beverly Woods, Connie Williams and Rosemary Williams, two brothers, Lonnie Rainey and Samuel Rainey, all of Las Vegas; three sisters, Eddie Mae Warner of Warren, Ark., Alice Morris of New Edinburg, Ark., and Virginia Lightning of Las Vegas; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Friday in American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Ebenezer Church of God in Christ, 1072 W. Bartlett Ave. Burial will be in Eden Vale Memorial Park.

Benjiman Wootson Kirk

Benjiman Wootson Kirk, 54, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born Nov. 18, 1946, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. A resident for 50 years, he was a floorman in the gaming industry for 33 years.

He is survived by two daughters, Trisha Jean Drape of Lee's Summit, Mo., and Cheyenne Kirk of Reno; his mother, Dixie Mae Atchley, one brother, William Daniel Grady, and one sister, Sharon Mae Pierson, all of Las Vegas; and three grandchildren.

Services will be private. Nevada Funeral Service, 2983 Fremont St., handled arrangements.

The family suggests donations to the Liver and Kidney Research Foundation.

Hans P. Klaholz

Hans P. Klaholz, 78, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 8, 1922, in Cleveland. A resident for 17 years, he was a retired manufacturing engineer/tool-die maker and a World War II Navy veteran.

He is survived by two sons, Kirt Klaholz of Las Vegas and Larry Klaholz of Colorado Springs, Colo; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Services will be private. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., handled arrangements.

The family request donations to the Humane Society in his memory.

Mary J. Lagroe

Mary J. Lagroe, 81, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born March 27, 1920, in St. Joseph, Mo. A resident for 12 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Ernest; one son, Mark Lagroe of Las Vegas; one daughter, Raylene, and two brothers, Earl Yeakley Jr., and Milton Yeakley, all of Missouri; and six grandchildren.

Philmore Leemon

Philmore Leemon, 83,of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 23, 1917,in Detroit. A resident for 19 years, he was a retired attorney, World War II Army veteran, past president of B'nai B'rith and a member of Zionist Organization of American.

He is survived by his wife, Judith; one daughter, Elaine Gruber of Phoenix; one son, Daniel Leemon of Atherton, Calif.; two sisters, Ruth Miller and Betty Singer, both of Detroit; and three grandchildren.

Services are scheduled 10 a.m. Friday in King David Memorial Chapel, 2697 Eldorado Lane. Burial will be in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Charles Denver Linder

Charles Denver Linder, 67, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born July 4, 1933, in Calvin, Okla. A resident for 35 years, he was a retired carpenter.

He is survived by one daughter, Debra Atkinson of Las Vegas; one son, Darrell Linder of Modesto, Calif.; one sister, Etta Lee Ray of Corning, Calif.; one brother, Wesley Linder, and one sister, Lecola Forester, both of Oklahoma; 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at the family residence. Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., handled arrangements.

Eddie H. Macklin

Eddie H. Macklin, 59, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born Nov. 17, 1941, in Mississippi. A resident for 37 years, he was a hotel cook.

He is survived by his wife, Lueverna; one daughter, Lysandra Macklin of Las Vegas; one son, Gary Macklin of North Las Vegas; his parents, Kirby and Annie Macklin, four brothers, Willie Macklin, Grover Macklin, Joe Macklin and Al Macklin, two sisters, Mary Terry and Ethel Macklin, all of Las Vegas; and three grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 11 a.m.-8 p.m. Friday in American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Greater St. Paul Church of God in Christ, 911 N. G St. Burial will be in Eden Vale Memorial Park.

William L. McDaniel

William L. McDaniel, 89, of North Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local care center. He was born May 19, 1911, in Arizona. A resident for four years, he was a retired driver for a trucking company.

He is survived by one son, Bill McDaniel, and one daughter, Sherrie McDaniel, both of Las Vegas; one sister, Frankie Shears of Phoenix; and one grandchild.

John Nelson

John Nelson, 102, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born June 24, 1898, in Chile. A resident for 22 years, he was a store owner.

He is survived by one daughter, Angela Benzer of Las Vegas; 13 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 3-8 p.m. Friday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in St. Viator Catholic Church, 2461 E. Flamingo Road. Allan M. Nyberg

Allan M. Nyberg, 74, of North Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born Oct. 1, 1926, in Garland, Utah. A resident for 43 years, he was a retired carpenter, World War II Marine Corps veteran and a member of the Knights of Columbus and Elks Lodge 2353.

He is survived by his wife, Beverly; one daughter, Kristen Burge, one son, Allan K. Nyberg, and one brother, Richard P. Nyberg, all of Las Vegas; seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. with a 6 p.m. rosary Friday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.

Sandra Guinn Nye

Sandra Guinn Nye, 55, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born March 30, 1946, in San Luis Obispo, Calif. A resident for 40 years, she was a registered nurse at Valley Hospital for 15 years and a Vietnam War Army veteran.

She is survived by two daughters, Cambra Nye and Cristina Creech, both of Las Vegas; and three sisters, Frances Guinn of Las Vegas and Marsha Robinson and Yvonne Elizonda, both of Ventura, Calif.

Colista Mahoney Phillips

Colista Mahoney Phillips, 73, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospice. She was born Oct. 5, 1927, in Ryan, Iowa. A resident for seven years, she was a retired purchaser for a communications company.

She is survived by her husband, Calvin C.; one son, Alan Phillips of Lake Forest, Calif.; one daughter, Patricia La Forte of Fallbrook, Calif.; one brother, Dick Mahoney of Chicago; two sisters, Lorraine Mahoney of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Generose Porteous of Urbandale, Iowa; and four grandchildren.

Jessie Elouise Potter

Jessie Elouise Potter, 77, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local care center. She was born July 3, 1923, in Asheville, N.C. A resident for 10 years, she was a retired owner of a dress shop and a member of Beta Sigma Phi for 54 years and the Emblem Club in West Covina, Calif.

She is survived by one daughter, Laura E. Ardis of Redding, Calif.; one son, William H. Ferguson III of West Covina; one brother, Wm. Durward Johnson of Arden, N.C.; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.

The family suggests donations be made in memory of Jessie Elouise Potter of Chapter MA 357, to the Beta Sigma Phi Breast Cancer Fund, P.O. Box 8500, Kansas City, MO 64114-0500.

Gene A. Schmidutz

Gene A. Schmidutz, 70, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 8, 1931, in Tiffin, Ohio. A resident for 10 years, he was a limo driver for Bell Trans and the Las Vegas Hilton, worked at Painted Desert golf course and was a Korean War Air Force veteran, member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and Moose.

He is survived by his wife, Donna; three daughters, Cynthia Rae, Diana Chapman and Lisa Rivers, all of Las Vegas; two sons, Daniel Schmidutz of Ohio and Michael Schmidutz of Las Vegas; 17 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation was scheduled 3 until 5 p.m. services today in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Burial will be in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Patsy Barbour Woofter

Patsy Barbour Woofter, 63, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospice. She was born Jan. 4, 1938, in Welsh, Okla. A resident for 25 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, William; one daughter, Kim Conrad of Colorado Springs, Colo.; her mother, Esther Hensley of Oklahoma; and one grandchild.

Graveside services are scheduled 11 a.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.
