The North Las Vegas Planning Commission on Wednesday unanimously approved an application of a final development plan for a hotel-casino submitted by Millenium Gaming and the Mendenhall Family Trust.

Millenium Gaming has proposed the project on 28 acres on the southwest corner of Craig and Losee Roads.

Representatives told the commission that the project would have more than 200 hotel rooms and that gaming will take up more than 30,000 square feet of the planned 220,000 square foot hotel-casino.

The site for the proposed project is about 2,000 feet from the nearest residential area, according to North Las Vegas zoning maps. It is also surrounded by industrial and commercial zoning and uses.
