Scott Alan Adams
Scott Alan Adams, 41, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 8, 1959, in California. A resident for five years, he was a truck driver.
He is survived by his lifetime partner, Jaye Lynn Hocson, one son, Jason Hocson, and two daughters, Jovi Adams and Shirna Adams, all of Las Vegas; his mother, Alice Adams of Hawaii; and three sisters, Toni Dicky of California, Terri Mabie of Chicago and Barbara Doyle of Colorado.
No local services are scheduled. Burial will be private. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
Michael L. Halford Jr.
Michael L. Halford Jr., 28, of Henderson died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Sept. 20, 1972, in Millington, Tenn. A resident for six years, he was a waiter at Chili's in Henderson.
He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Patricia and Charlie Wright of Memphis, Tenn.; his father and stepmother, Michael L. Halford Sr. and Paula Halford, one sister, Felicia Halford, and two brothers, Gregory Halford and Richie Halford, all of Las Vegas; and his two grandmothers, Vetra Webb and Margaret Scott, both of Memphis.
Visitation was scheduled 1-3 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Graveside services followed in Palm Valley View Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., handled arrangements.
Mary 'Helen' Kemp
Mary "Helen" Kemp, 87, of North Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born Aug. 7, 1913, in Fordyce, Ark. A resident for 43 years, she was a retired hotel pantry worker, a member of the Fordyce Club and a former member of the Mission Group at Second Baptist Church.
She is survived by four sons, Arthur Miller, Kenneth Miller, Maso Chambers and Marvin Chambliss, all of Las Vegas; two sisters, Florence Smith of Las Vegas and Ammer Smith of Seattle; 22 grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Second Baptist Church, 500 W. Madison Ave. Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Thursday in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
Phyllis Pauline Kerwin
Phyllis Pauline Kerwin, 71, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born Sept. 8, 1929, in New Mexico. A resident for 50 years, she was a records custodian for Clark County. She is survived by one daughter, Cheryl DeFilippis, one son, Fred Farren, and one sister, Kathleen Norman, all of Las Vegas; and six grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 2-6 p.m. Tuesday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday in Bunkers Chapel. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
Salvador Martinez
Salvador Martinez, 51, of North Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 6, 1949, in El Salvador. A resident for 20 years, he was a dishwasher.
He is survived by one son, Salvador Martinez Jr., and one daughter, Reyna E. Martinez, both of North Las Vegas; his father, Luis Morales, his mother, Fransica Martinez, and three brothers, Hector Martinez, Gilberto Martinez and Luis Martinez, all of El Salvador; and two sisters, Leticia Martinez of El Salvador and Sara Martinez of Las Vegas.
Visitation is scheduled 1-3 p.m. Tuesday and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday in Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson. Burial will be in El Salvador.
John Henry Meehan Jr.
John Henry Meehan Jr., 42, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 18, 1958, in Philadelphia. A resident for 15 years, he was a dealer.
He is survived by his wife, Shannon Marie.
No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in Palm Valley View Memorial Park. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
Elpidio M. Novero
Elpidio M. Novero, 80, of Las Vegas died April 30 in a local hospital. He was born Nov. 16, 1920, in Manila, Philippines. A resident for 12 years, he was a retired supply clerk for the federal government.
He is survived by his wife, Rosalina S.; four daughters, Lourdes Bascoguin of Manila, Imelda Taroma of Brussels, Belgium, Elvira Babagat of Las Vegas and Eleonor Cantimbuhan of Arcadia, Calif.; four sons, Rey Novero and Jessie Novero, both of Las Vegas, Renato Novero of Brussels and Rizalito Novero of Arcadia; one brother, Nardo Novero of Okinawa, Japan; 19 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 1-5 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.
William Parsons
William Parsons, 78, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born June 29, 1922, in Sugar Grove, Va. A resident for one year, he was an armature wirer.
He is survived by three brothers, John Henry Nicholas of Louisiana, Howard G. Nicholas of Germany and Franklin Nicholas of Virginia; and one sister, Martha L. Edwards of Virginia.

Helen Riggio
Helen Riggio, 81, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Jan. 31, 1920, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for two years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by one son, Jeff Leary of Las Vegas; two sisters, Joan Jackletis of Ford, N.J., and Madeline Grogan-Ferrantelli of Staten Island, N.Y.; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Patricia Ann Roberts, 72, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local convalescent hospital. She was born July 19, 1928, in Coalinga, Calif. A resident for seven years, she was a retired restaurant waitress.
She is survived by five sons, Robert Hunter, Michael Stocks and Gary Roberts, all of Las Vegas, Gordon Stocks of Ojai, Calif., and Ronnie Roberts of Avenal, Calif.; one sister, Peggy Thomas of Las Vegas; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Visitation is scheduled 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Graveside services will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.
Carroll R. Russell
Carroll R. Russell, 78, of Henderson died Friday in a local hospital. He was born Sept. 2, 1922, in Morocco, Ind. A resident for 42 years, he retired as director of secondary education from the Clark County School District, a World War II Army veteran, a member of Morocco Masonic Lodge 372 for 55 years, Black Mountain Golf Course and several education groups.
He is survived by his wife, Jewell; one daughter, Julia K. Kuwahara of California; and two grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson.
The family suggests contributions to the donor's favorite charity.
Augusta E. Sanders
Augusta E. Sanders, 80, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. He was born Nov. 15, 1920, in Kilbourne, La. A resident for four years, he was a custodian and a member of the Masonic Temple.
He is survived by his wife, Josie; four sons, Melvin Sanders, Ronnie Sanders, Darryl Sanders and Phillip Sanders; four daughters, Ida Wheaton, Shelia Sanders, Monetress Vazquez and Lorraine White; 38 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 6-7 p.m. today in Harrison-Ross Mortuaries, 2071 Las Vegas Blvd. North, North Las Vegas. Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Harrison-Ross Mortuaries. Burial will be in Louisiana.
Elizabeth Szamosi
Elizabeth Szamosi, 77, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local care center. She was born June 17, 1923, in Cservenka, Yugoslavia. A resident for 10 years, she was a retired assistant manager in the electronics industry.
She is survived by two sons, Emmerick J. Szamosi of Mesa, Ariz., and John Szamosi of Palmdale, Calif.; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Visitation is scheduled 10 a.m. until noon services Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.

Vitomir Vasic
Vitomir Vasic, 87, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 7, 1913, in Krusevac, Yugoslavia. A resident for 24 years, he was a retired hotel-casino baker.
He is survived by his wife, Ljubinka; one daughter, Zorica Petkovic of Las Vegas; one son, Gradimir Vasic of Belgrade, Yugoslavia; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in St. Simeon Serbian Orthodox Church. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

Sally Ann Walser, 59, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospice. She was born March 30, 1942, in Charleston, S.C. A resident for 10 years, she was a loan officer in the banking industry.
She is survived by three sons, Al Nessinger of Las Vegas, Ed Nessinger of Petaluma, Calif., and Richard Nessinger of Lafayette, Calif.; her parents, Albert and Doris Seigart Sr. of Las Vegas; one brother, Albert Seigart Jr. of San Mateo, Calif.; two sisters, Doris Barker of Linton, Calif., and Tammy Rocca of Morgan Hill, Calif.; and six grandchildren.
