Donations help send needy children to summer camp

An 11-year-old girl who is described by her school counselor as a happy, hard-working student would like to go to camp this summer.

Her family lacks the resources to send her to camp this year. Her counselor says she follows the rules and always does the right thing.

For that she "definitely deserves the summer camp experience," the counselor said.

Sometimes simple things, such as singing around the campfire and toasting marshmallows with other children and spending time around camp counselors who are positive role models, are the memories that a child carries with them through the rest of their life.
