Company installing slot software package

Harrah's Entertainment Inc. announced plans to install a software package the company says will help it run its slot operations more efficiently.
Developed by Compudigm International Ltd. of New Zealand, "seePower" presents slot machine performance information in a visual format, rather than tables. This enables a casino to quickly determine how machines in certain locations are performing and which game types and denominations are drawing the most play.
"seePower is a highly efficient means of using information to monitor and improve performance," said John Boushy, chief information officer of Harrah's. "This can lead to more effective gaming machine management and a thorough interpretation of business trends."
The system will initially be installed at Harrah's corporate headquarters in Las Vegas for testing. If certain performance criteria are met, Harrah's said it will install the system at Harrah's casinos across the country.
Compudigm is based in Wellington, New Zealand, but maintains its U.S. headquarters in Las Vegas.
