LV builders disciplined by state

Seven Southern Nevada builders have been disciplined by the State Contractors Board, with three companies having their licenses revoked.
Three of the companies had their licenses suspended and another was fined and reprimanded in actions taken at the board's meeting April 24-25.
Primack Homes, a residential and small commercial contractor based in Las Vegas, had its license revoked for failure to pay for materials and services, failure to establish financial responsibility and failure to notify the board of a change of address.
Officials with Primack could not be reached for comment.
Empire Electric, a Las Vegas electrical contractor, had its license revoked for failure to pay for materials and services, failure to cooperate in the investigation of a complaint and failure to establish financial responsibility.
Empire officials could not be reached for comment.
Stokes Underground Consulting LLC, a North Las Vegas general engineering contractor, had its license revoked for failure to pay for materials and services, failure to establish financial responsibility and failure to keep in force a cash bond or deposit.
Stokes is not listed in local phone directories and could not be reached for comment.
Three other contractors had their licenses suspended by the board.
Champion Homes, a residential and small commercial contractor in Henderson, and its affiliated Manley Development Inc., were cited for failure to pay for materials and services, failure to cooperate in the investigation of a complaint, failure to establish financial responsibility and failure to keep in force a bond or cash deposit.
The phone for Champion and Manley was disconnected and officials could not be reached for comment.
The board suspended the license of Deserae General Contractors, a residential and small commercial builder in Pahrump. Company officials could not be reached for comment.
L.T.D. Builders, a Las Vegas carpentry contractor, was fined $3,100 and issued a letter of reprimand, which will be placed in its file for one year, for failure to include a monetary limit on a contract or proposal.
Lou Desangro, owner of L.T.D. Builders, said, "It looks like my kids will be eating cereal for the next month."
