The CCSN baseball team lost 11-9 to Glendale Community College in the first game of the NJCAA Region I tournament Thursday in Coolidge, Ariz.
Joe Wagner went 3-for-4 for the Coyotes with a double, a home run and three RBIs and CCSN's Amad Stephens struck out nine in seven innings of relief.
The Coyotes took their only lead of the game in the seventh inning when Wagner doubled in Eric Kitchen to make it 9-8, but Glendale answered right back. After tying the game, Jake Wright hit a two-run shot over left field for the victory.
CCSN is now 49-8 while Glendale is 39-18. The Coyotes played their second game of the double-elimination tournament this morning.
