Caesars, LV Convention Center named world’s best

Caesars Palace was named the world's top casino resort in the 2001 World Travel Awards, a global online contest designed to recognize top performers in the global travel industry.
More than 25,000 travel agencies from across the world participated in the voting. More than 150 awards were presented earlier this month at the awards ceremony in Malaysia.
In addition to Caesars Palace's award, the Las Vegas Convention Center was named the world's best convention center, while the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority was named the world's best convention and tourist bureau. Las Vegas was voted the world's best gambling destination.
The MGM Grand was named North America's top conference hotel while the Venetian was named the continent's leading casino resort.
