Program set at Lake Mead
National Park Service rangers and boating safety professionals will host the annual Boating Safety Day Saturday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Lake Mead Marina.
A new program on carbon monoxide awareness has been added to this year's event. For more information, call 293-8947.
The Contemporary Arts Collection
is having its annual Art Mart yard Friday through Sunday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Arts Factory parking lot, 103 E. Charleston Blvd. For more information, call 382-3886.
Students of African heritage
will be honored for their excellence in the 16th annual Outstanding Student Awards Banquet hosted by UNLV Alliance of Professionals of African Heritage Sunday at 4 p.m. in the ballroom of the Moyer Student Union. Two scholarships will be awarded during the event and tickets are $15. For more information, call 895-4777
