SPECIAL TO THE SUN
Margaret Rudin, who is on trial in the December 1994 shooting death of her husband, Ronald Rudin, provided the Sun with a poem she wrote that expresses some of her feelings about the past six years.
"What Would You Do?"
Jan. - Dec. 1995
Due process self-destructed My civil lawsuit was involved; Judges ignored probate laws, Political favors got resolved; Unethical agreements behind scenes, Proved 'justice' was for sale; My lawyers never won once, I watch courts constantly fail.
Jan. '96
Lady Justice had reset her sight, U.S. Constitution was violated; Cops continually harassed friends, My family's fights were annihilated; A noose tightened around my neck, Threatening NV-style litigation; It was an impossible situation, I was an emotional wreck.
March '97
I felt alone, broke, afraid, It accelerated my fear of harm; Many times laws were ignored, It intensified my sense of alarm; Unknown enemies threatened me, They're still impossible to fight; Democracy offered no santuary I left to save my life.
March 2001
Please scrutinize my enemies' actions, Their lawlessness hid from view; Let me know your reaction, Knowing might overrules right; In your conscience examination, By reasonable standards due; Honestly, what would you do, If this person was you?
