Casino employees implicated

BILXOI, Miss. -- Craps dealers at two Biloxi casinos were arrested over the weekend in what Mississippi regulators say is a continuing investigation into cheating.

State Gaming Commission agents arrested Lorie Lynn Anderson, 32, of Biloxi, at Palace Casino on Friday, and David Downing Wilson Jr., 31, of Ocean Springs, at Treasure Bay casino on Saturday.

Agents believe the dealers conspired with Richard Taylor, 34, of Memphis, Tenn., who is suspected of accepting money on losing craps bets in exchange for giving dealers heavy tips from money he won illegally, said Gaming Commission spokeswoman Ashley Skellie.

Warrants have been issued for Taylor's arrest, Skellie said.

Regulators said they believe the dealers and Taylor were involved in a scheme that bilked four coast casinos out of about $200,000. Since March, four dealers at coast casinos have been charged in the investigation.

Agents believe Treasure Bay lost about $80,000 in the scam, while Palace Casino lost up to $30,000, Skellie said.
