Joe Delaney remembers 1988: Anderson at Dunes
Friday, March 30, 2001 | 10:44 a.m.
Bob Anderson is one of the finest singing impressionists in the business today as well as a superb saloon singer in his own right; up there with the late Frank Sinatra, plus Tony Bennett and Sonny King -- an endangered species.
The Top of the Dunes was noted for hosting top jazz names as well, including the Four Freshmen, Anita O'Day and the late Joe Williams. By day it was a gourmet-brunch favorite. During April Anderson will perform at the Las Vegas Hilton's Nightclub, then head to Atlantic City for the summer.
Anderson is also in the running to become the permanent Hilton replacement for the Scintas, who move to the Rio next month.
