Rolando Alfonso Ballista
Rolando Alfonso Ballista, 22, of Las Vegas died March 21 in Temple, Texas. He was born March 6, 1979, in Los Angeles. A resident for 16 years, he was a sales associate for West TeleServices and an Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Velvet S., one daughter, Lillianna S. Ballista, and one son, Antonio Ballista, all of Copperas Cove, Texas; his father, Rolando Zuniga of Overton, Utah; his parents, Sagrario "Ziggy" and Alejandro "Al" Ballista, and one sister, Christina Martinez, all of Las Vegas; and two brothers, Mark Torres of Las Vegas and Bernardo Villalobos of Copperas Cove.
Visitation is scheduled 1-7 p.m. Friday with a 5:30 p.m. rosary in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 8 a.m. Saturday in St. James Catholic Church, 820 N. H St. Burial will follow in Eden Vale Mausoleum.
Eric Joseph Bloom
Eric Joseph Bloom, 25, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 9, 1976, in Fairfield, Calif. A resident for one-and-a-half years, he was an animal trainer.
He is survived by his father, Martin L. Bloom of Pleasant Hill, Calif.; his mother, Janet Bloom, and one sister, Monica Bloom, both of Las Vegas; and his grandparents, Natalie Rampling of Brentwood, Calif., and Kay and Jerry Brooks of Los Angeles.
Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to 2 p.m. services Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park, Northwest.
The family suggests donations to Morris Animal Foundation, 45 Inverness Drive East, Englewood, CO 80110.
John E. Bradley
John E. Bradley, 69, of Henderson died Monday in a local hospital. He was born Nov. 14, 1931, in Chicago. A resident for one month, he was a retired Air Force major and Korean War and Vietnam War veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret; one daughter, Toni Bradley of Henderson; one son, James E. Bradley of Tustin, Calif.; two sisters, Sue Sumner of Houston and Barbara Maddox of Oroville, Calif.; and three grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Services will be 4 p.m. Friday in Palm Chapel, Henderson. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park, Henderson.
Julio Bustamante
Julio Bustamante, 86, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born April 23, 1914, in Puerto Rico. A resident for 15 years, he was a World War II Army veteran.
He is survived by two daughters, Wanda Figueroa of New York state and Yvonne Roman; one son, Charlie Figueroa; one stepson, Samuel Padilla of New York; one brother, John Nelson of Las Vegas; his ex-wife, Providencia Maldonado of New York; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 11:30 a.m. Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.
Raymond Lamar Claar
Raymond Lamar Claar, 76, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospice. He was born June 7, 1924, in Ohio. A resident for 11 years, he owned and operated a drawer decorating business.
He is survived by his companion, Don Johnson of Las Vegas; and one brother, Robert L. Claar of Springfield, Ohio.
American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane, is handling private arrangements.
Rupert E. Crowder
Rupert E. Crowder, 79, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born April 5, 1921, in Hazen, Ark. A resident for 22 years, he was a retired aircraft supervisor and a member of the Masons.
He is survived by his wife, Anna J.; one daughter, Sharon Martin of Santa Maria, Calif.; one son, Eugene Crowder of San Antonio; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled noon-2 p.m. Friday with a 1 p.m. service in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd.
The family suggests donations to the American Heart Association, 6370 W. Flamingo Road, Suite 1, Las Vegas, NV 89103.
Charles H. '007' Emery Jr.
Charles H. "007" Emery Jr., 68, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born Jan. 8, 1933, in San Luis Obispo, Calif. A resident for 32 years, he was a retired Alarmco vice president for more than 20 years, a Korean War Navy veteran, was one of the founders of the Secret Witness program and began reports on Channel 13 and was a traffic reporter for KDWN radio.
He is survived by four daughters, Debra Rae Burns of Granite Falls, Wash., Cindy Lee Brooke of Port Orchard, Wash., Susan Marie Conant of Lake Stevens, Wash., and Linda Ann Hall of Fairfield, Calif.; two sons, Shane Lewis Watson of Everett, Wash., and Clayton Lewis Watson of Arlington, Wash.; 15 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Services were scheduled at 11 a.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., followed by burial in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
The family suggests donations to the National Parkinson Foundation Inc., 1501 Northwest Ninth Ave., Miami, FL 33136-1494.
Mildred Kalke
Mildred Kalke, 92, of Henderson died Monday in a local care center. She was born Dec. 23, 1908, in Chicago. A resident for eight years, she was a retired hospital nurse's aide and a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary.
She is survived by one daughter, Shirley M. Carey of Henderson; three grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 9-9:30 a.m. Saturday with services following at 10 a.m. in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson.
Mary Luss
Mary Luss, 51, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born March 25, 1950, in Natchez, Miss. A resident for 31 years, she was a retired Air Force secretary.
She is survived by her husband, Allen Jr.; one son, Dr. Rosner Luss of Las Vegas; her mother, Eliza Johnson, and four sisters, Deloris Robinson, Julia Griffin, Helen Jackson and Wanda Ceasor, all of Natchez; and five brothers, Richard Robinson of Kenner, La., and Leslie Robinson, Jerome Robinson, Kenny Robinson and Arthur Robinson, all of Natchez.
Visitation is scheduled 1-7 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Nellis Air Force Base Chapel. Graveside services will follow in Palm Memorial Park.
Stanley G. Neiman
Stanley G. Neiman, 70, of Henderson died Monday in Henderson. He was born Sept. 16, 1930, in West Point, Wis. A resident for 20 years, he was a retired carpenter and a Korean War Air Force veteran.
He is survived by two sons, Steve Neiman of Kenosha, Wis., and Stuart Neiman; two daughters, Stephanie Neiman and Samantha Neiman, both of Kenosha; two brothers, Lowell Neiman of Rapid City, S.D., and Lloyd Neiman; and two grandchildren.
Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.
Lawrence Oesterling Sr.
Lawrence Oesterling Sr., 65, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 13, 1935, in Detroit. A resident for seven years, he was the owner of an art supply store and an Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Rose; his mother, Dolores; three sons, Philip, Lawrence Jr. and Christopher; one brother, Alan; one sister, Shirley Ann; and seven grandchildren.
Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, handled arrangements.

Marlene M. Olson
Marlene M. Olson, 65, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospice. She was born Oct. 27, 1935, in Watertown, Wis. A resident for one year, she was a retired factory worker.
She is survived by her husband, Dennis H.; five daughters, Marsha Fischer of Watertown, Wis., Lynn Ninmann of Apopka, Fla., Dawn Neitzel of Ixonia, Wis., Kerry Cassady of Monroe, Wash., and Renee Dunn of Ixonia, Fla.; three brothers, Milford Fuchs of Helenville, Wis., Richard Fuchs of Watertown and David Fuchs of Las Vegas; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was scheduled Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

Richard Ontiveros Jr.
Richard Ontiveros Jr., 32, of Las Vegas died Friday in a clinic. He was born Aug. 27, 1968, in Santa Monica, Calif. A resident for 10 years, he was a truck driver for a disposal service and a member of Teamsters Local 631.
He is survived by his wife, Michelle; two stepdaughters, Gloria Arzola and Victoria Arzola, and one stepson, Gerardo Arzola, all of Las Vegas; his father, Richard Ontiveros Sr. of Santa Monica, Calif.; his mother, Patricia Kriz-Ontiveros of Los Angeles; and two sisters, Rebecca Ontiveros of Los Angeles and Teresa Maitoza of Livermore, Calif.
Visitation is scheduled 9-11 a.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Palm Chapel, Eastern. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Roland D. Parke, 70, died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 9, 1931, in California. A resident for eight years, he was a checker for the Teamsters in Los Angeles and an Air Force veteran.
He is survived by two sons, Steve Parke of Anchorage, Alaska, and Dave Parke of Denver; two daughters, Janet Parke of Paris Lake, Calif., and Cathleen Parke of Spokane, Wash.; one brother, Eugene Hunt of Crowhart, Wyo.; one sister, Shirley Veine of Boise, Idaho; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Graveside services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.
Dorothy E. Parker
Dorothy E. Parker, 78, of Las Vegas died Monday in Queen Creek, Ariz. She was born Aug. 23, 1922, Oklahoma. A resident for 55 years, she was a retired manager of a Western wear shop.
She is survived by two daughters, Kay Parker of Queen Creek and Paula Pitt of Amarillo, Texas; one son, Jim Parker of Queen Creek; one sister, Twink Yoast of Tulsa, Okla.; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.

Marie T. Potts
Marie T. Potts, 72, of Boulder City died Tuesday in Boulder City. She was born June 10, 1928, in Trenton, N.J. A resident for nine years, she was a retired assembler for a circuit breaker manufacturer.
She is survived by her husband, Eric N.; three sons, Ken N. Potts of Minnesota, James F. Potts of California and Richard G. Potts of New Jersey; one brother, Joseph Worsky of New Jersey; and one grandchild.
Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
Enzo Secci
Enzo Secci, 36, of Las Vegas died Monday. He was born Oct. 4, 1964, in Italy. A resident for 2 1/2 years, he was a chef at Bellagio's Circo restaurant.
He is survived by his fiancee, Cybele Leonori of Las Vegas; and his mother, Peitrini Secci of Italy.
Visitation is scheduled 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. services Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.
Martha Thomas
Martha Thomas, 88, of Las Vegas died March 21 in Las Vegas. She was born March 9, 1913, in Huntsville, Ala. A resident for 10 years, she was an employee of the Chicago school system.
She is survived by one daughter, Betty Holton of Las Vegas; three stepsons, Johnny Mitchell and Anthony Mitchell, both of Chicago, and Tywan Mitchell of Phoenix; two stepdaughters, Toni Sanders of Las Vegas and Jannie M. Huntley of Chicago; one sister, Rosie Dorsett of Buffalo, N.Y.; 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were scheduled at 10 a.m. today in Paradise Memorial Gardens. Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.
Anna Maria Archuleta Valdez
Anna Maria Archuleta Valdez, 87, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 17, 1913, in Ridgeway, Colo. A resident for 58 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by one daughter, Anna Maria Hart of Bakersfield, Calif.; four sons, Theodore Jacquez and Emmett Dwayne Hart, both of Las Vegas, Tony E. Valdez of Reno and Damian Jose Valdez of Bakersfield, Calif.; eight grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 5-8 p.m. Thursday with a 6 p.m. rosary in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 10 a.m. Friday in Our Lady of Las Vegas Catholic Church, 3050 Alta Drive. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens.
