Sport: Softball
Currently: Lupo, who has started all 25 games for the 13-12 Shockers at first base, was recently named the Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Week and earned a spot on the all-tournament team at the Golden Panther Invitational in Miami. A .262 hitter, she leads her team in doubles with six and is second among Wichita State players with 13 RBIs. Lupo has also made just two errors in 204 chances this season. As a freshman, she started 53 of her club's 54 contests, hitting .255 with 16 RBIs.
Looking back: An outfielder and first baseman for the Gaels, Lupo was a four-year varsity starter, earning team MVP honors in each of her final two seasons. One of the top hitters in town as a senior with a .494 batting average, she finished her prep career as a two-year All-Sunset Division selection by area coaches.
