John 'Bob' Addington
John "Bob" Addington, 73, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born May 27, 1927, in Kansas City, Mo. A resident for 40 years, he was a retired dealer and pit boss at various casinos, an independent truck driver and a World War II Navy veteran.
He is survived by two sons, Dwain Hanson and Alan Hanson, both of Spokane, Wash.; one stepdaughter, Roxanne Rowland of Las Vegas; one sister, Gloria Wagenblast of Portland, Ore.; and five grandchildren.
Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd., is handling private arrangements.
John Bernard 'Champ' Allen
John Bernard "Champ" Allen, 67, of Las Vegas died March 20 in Las Vegas. He was born April 9, 1933, in California. A resident for 36 years, he was a bartender at Jerry's Nugget and an Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Jacquelyne; three sons, Mark Gastineau of Sacramento and Mike Gastineau and Stacey Eddings, both of Las Vegas; three daughters, Cindy Shelton of Las Vegas and Jeanie Allen and Lori Allen, both of California; one brother, Joseph Allen of Richmond, Calif.; two sisters, Helen Fairbanks of Bradford, Calif., and Margaret Avila of Turlock, Calif.; and 15 grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.
Frank Anderson Jr.
Frank Anderson Jr., 83, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born March 11, 1917, in Fayette, Miss. A resident for 47 years, he was a retired El Cortez porter for more than 30 years.
He is survived by one daughter, Bibi of Las Vegas; and one grandchild.
Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.
Dennis M. Baker
Dennis M. Baker, 66, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospice. He was born Dec. 2, 1934, in Pittsburgh. A resident for nine years, he was a retired refrigeration and heating engineer and a Korean War Navy veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Betty J.; two daughters, Stacy Willingham of Tulsa, Okla., and Michele Tirone of Las Vegas; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Services and burial will be in Georgia. A memorial service will be 5 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson.
William H. Brooks
William H. Brooks, 59, of North Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born June 22, 1941, in Anniston, Ala. A resident for 18 months, he was a retired Army chief warrant officer.
He is survived by his wife, Beverly A.; two daughters, Lilliette Yvonne Brooks of Chicago and Christina Louise Brooks of Glen Burnie, Md.; two sons, David Arnold of Atlanta and William H. Brooks Jr. of Ramstein, Germany; one sister, Earlene Smith of Atlanta; and five grandchildren.
Services and burial will be in Atlanta. Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.
Virginia Colina
Virginia Colina, 84, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. A resident for 38 years, she was born Sept. 9, 1916, in Covington, Ky.
She is survived by two daughters, Carol A. Colina of Las Vegas and Judith Stafford; one brother, Bill LaDow; and three grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday in Paradise Memorial Gardens. Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.
Lisa Mathilde Cunningham
Lisa Mathilde Cunningham, 72, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospice. She was born Jan. 29, 1929, in Germany. A resident for eight years, she was a waitress.
She is survived by one son, Derek K. Cunningham.

Jewell Donofrio
Jewell Donofrio, 85, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local care center. She was born Dec. 20, 1915, in Kentucky. A resident for 12 years, she was a beautician, a member of the Indiana Eastern Star and the Ball Society.
She is survived by one daughter, Dianna Slobodian of Las Vegas; two brothers, Haskel Blackburn and Earl Blackburn, both of Cambridge City, Ind.; and one sister, Pauline Wools of Greenfield, Ind.
Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson.
Diane (Thiel) Gursky
Diane (Thiel) Gursky, 47, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born July 25, 1953, in Embarrass, Minn. A resident for 15 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Ed; two brothers, Ron Thiel and Glen Thiel, both of Minnesota.
Visitation is scheduled 6-9 p.m. Wednesday in Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd. Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday in Davis Funeral Home. Burial will be private.
Helen Lucille Hodson
Helen Lucille Hodson, 80, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born Dec. 26, 1920, in Miamisburg, Ohio. A resident for 42 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by one son, Thomas Hodson, and one daughter, Nancy Hunter, both of Las Vegas; two brothers, Frank Flory of Leesburg, Fla., and Dean Flory of Bluffton, Ohio; four sisters, Frances Gatzulius, Elsie Henry, Pauline West and Alberta Shetterly, all of Dayton, Ohio; and one grandchild.
Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will be Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Charles S. Howard
Charles S. Howard, 68, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 8, 1933, in West Virginia. A resident for more than 25 years, he was a cook.
He is survived by his friend, Sopheap Soy of Las Vegas.

Mark Gregory Huber
Mark Gregory Huber, 45, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born Jan. 7, 1956, in Nevada. A lifelong resident, he was a journeyman electrician and a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 357.
He is survived by his mother, Mary Frances; three brothers, John and Michael, both of Las Vegas, and Jim of Independence, Calif.

Joseph LaVecchio
Joseph LaVecchio, 84, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born April 10, 1916, in East Boston, Mass. A resident for 13 years, he owned a retail business.
He is survived by his wife, Tessie; one son, Anthony of Garland, Texas; two daughters, Marie Traverse of Bellerica, Mass., and Joyce LaVecchia of Midford, Mass.; two brothers, Frank of Salem, Mass., and Augustin of Everett, Mass.; two sisters, Mary Naples of Reading, Mass., and Anna DiGirsloma of Everett, Mass.; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Henrietta M. Ruder
Henrietta M. Ruder, 72, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born Sept. 13, 1928, in Kansas. A resident for 10 years, he was a produce store owner.
He is survived by his wife, Cyril; four sons, Richard Lynn and David, both of Wisconsin, and Robin and Timothy, both of Las Vegas; one daughter, Jane Wilson of Colorado; seven brothers, Eddie of California, Victor of Las Vegas, Alfred, Elmer and Virgil, all of Colorado, Alvin of Kansas and Norman of Oklahoma; three sisters, Lavora and Delores, both of Las Vegas, and Eleanore of Kansas; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Services will be 11 a.m. Friday in Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 5485 E. Charleston Blvd. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.
Michael Scarpelli Sr.
Michael Scarpelli Sr., 77, of Henderson died Saturday in Henderson. He was born May 12, 1923, in Chicago. A resident for 20 years, he was a retired owner of an accounting firm, a World War II Army veteran and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He is survived by his wife, Irene; one son, Michael Scarpelli Jr. of Henderson; three daughters, Kathy Dumais of Henderson, Gail Mianulli of Algonquin, Ill., and Michelle Gronewold of St. Charles, Ill.; three sisters, Terri Savaglio of Naperville, Ill., Lorraine Podosek of Naples, Fla., and Barbara Tabb of Door County, Wis.; and eight grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday in St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 130 N. Pecos Road, Henderson. Graveside services will follow at 12:30 p.m. Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

John Lambert Springer, 67, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospice. He was born May 30, 1933, in Michigan. A resident for one year, he was a hotel restaurant manager.
He is survived by his wife, Christine; three sons, Kent, Kurt and John; and three daughters, Carol, Christe and Leslie.

Gail A. Teodoro
Gail A. Teodoro, 57, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born June 30, 1943, in Peacedale, R.I. A resident for 19 years, she was a retired casino cage manager and a member of Senior Scene Five.
She is survived by her husband, Francisco Edward; two daughters, Carolena Elizabeth Teodoro and Michelle Ann Teodoro, and one son, Jason Edward Teodoro, all of Las Vegas; one brother, Steve Miller of Brocton, N.Y.; and three sisters, Ann Bartkowiak, Melinda Carr and Sue Carr, all of Fredonia, N.Y.
A memorial service will be 4 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.
Louise S. Travers
Louise S. Travers, 88, of Henderson died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born Nov. 15, 1912, in Chicago. A resident for 23 years, she was a retired telephone operator.
She is survived by two daughters, Joyce Singer and Patricia Kebschull, both of Las Vegas; 13 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday in Palm Chapel, Henderson. Entombment will follow in Palm Mausoleum.
