Letter: Mayor disparages Vegas of old

I have lived here since 1958, and even then I never thought of Las Vegas as a one-horse town. Goodman went on to indicate how much better off we all are now! Let's think about that. We now have air pollution, a shortage of water, traffic that is horrendous and crime that is out of control.

Maybe Goodman thinks things are better now, but I don't think so! I liked it when I could go out at night, not have bars on my windows and an alarm system in my car and humidity that was thought high if it got to 10 percent.

Oh, how I long for that "one-horse town."
