Durango 8, Pahrump Valley 1: Robbie Martinez hit a two-run double in the fourth, and Danny Kelly and Casey McDonald had two hits apiece for the Blazers. Danny Houston struck out 10 batters in six innings for his first varsity win.

BOYS VOLLEYBALL
Durango def. Palo Verde, 15-3, 15-6, 15-3: Neal Abol-Hosn had six kills and six blocks, Brian Bounds and Tyson walker chipped in nine kills apiece and Mason Duff added 23 assists for the Blazers.
Bishop Gorman def. Cheyenne, 15-7, 15-12, 15-9: Matt Brosseau had 12 kills, eight digs and six assists and Kelly Petersen added 35 assists to lead the Gaels.
Cimarron-Memorial def. Bonanza, 15-2, 15-8, 15-2: Mark Tew and Jon Sall each had six kills for the Spartans, while Zach Taylor dished out 26 assists for the Bengals.
Las Vegas def. Foothill, 15-7, 15-4, 15-5: Cliff Gutierrez had nine kills and eight blocks and John Hansen racked up 25 kills to spearhead the Wildcat attack.
Basic def. Eldorado, 15-3, 15-3, 15-2: Shaun Muaina had eight kills and four aces and Tyler Stewart added four kills and two blocks for the Wolves.
Vo-Tech def. Desert Pines, 15-7, 15-8, 15-7: The Road Runners got 21 assists from Guy Sumption, 12 kills from Mike Summerlin and seven kills from Solomon Coleman in the win.

Durango 182, Basic 116: Brad Thompson (50 free, 100 fly) and Troy Staley (200 IM, 100 free) each won two events to pace the Blazers, while Chris Gonzales captured the diving competition for Basic.
GIRLS SWIMMING
Durango 201, Basic 178: Tara Staley won the 200 and 500 free and Emily Simon finished first in the 50 free and 100 fly for the Blazers, while Kim Wiklund took the 200 IM and 100 breast for the Wolves.
