Postcard from Anaheim, Calif.: Nice to see a friendly face

Editor's note: Sun basketball writer Steve Addy will be filing daily postcards from NCAA Tournament sites.
Howdy from Anaheim --
I haven't lived in Las Vegas long enough (15 months) to call myself a true local, but when I ran into Georgetown's Demetrius Hunter on Wednesday, his smile lit up when he saw Las Vegas on my press credential.
We met briefly in January when UNLV got pounded at Georgetown, but now we're at the NCAA West Regional at the Pond, where the Hoyas will face Maryland this afternoon.
Hunter, a 6-foot-2 guard from Cheyenne High, will be playing in pain today. He's got turf toe and a sore Achilles tendon, and he played only 12 minutes in the last game. But he plans to play, even if he has to drag himself up and down the court.
Oh yeah, Demetrius says hi to Jevon Banks, Vince Booker and all of his guys back in Vegas.
Hoopily yours, Addy (and Demetrius)
