Woodbury honored for 20 years

Surrounded by former and current Clark County commissioners, Bruce Woodbury was honored Tuesday for serving a record 20 years on the commission.

"My whole life is flashing before me," said Woodbury, scanning the lineup that included former commissioners Jay Bingham and Thalia Dondero, who held the record before Woodbury.

"Thanks for working with me and not always telling the truth when I was headed in the wrong direction."

Dondero, who left the board after 20 years, congratulated the new record-holder and presented the District A commissioner with a plaque.

"I can't tell you enough about what you have done for the community," Dondero said.
