BASEBALL
Bishop Gorman 4, Green Valley 3: J.C. Sibley led off the bottom of the sixth with a triple and scored on Russ Warthen's sacrifice fly to lift the Gaels to victory. Zeke Parraz and Chris McGovern homered for the Gators.
Mojave 6, Eldorado 5: Mat Ellis scored on Octavio Luna's squeeze bunt in the bottom of the seventh to break a 5-5 tie. Luna finished 2-for-3, while James Green went 2-for-2 with a pair of doubles for the Sundevils.
Cimarron-Memorial 4, Desert Pines 0: Matt Wagner and Garrett Kohler combined on a two-hitter, with Wagner fanning seven batters, Vito Casolari went 3-for-3 with a run, and Wagner finished 2-for-4 with three RBIs.
Western 3, Foothill 2: Cory Hanson slapped an RBI single off Grant Stanley in the bottom of the seventh, scoring Mike Trodick with the winning run for the Warriors. Shaun Taylor went 2-for-3 with a double and a triple and picked up the win for Western, striking out six and allowing just six hits.
Centennial 11, Rancho 1: Chris Bonnell went 2-for-4 with three RBIs and Derek Jackson went 2-for-3 with an RBI to lead the Bulldogs.
Cheyenne 8, Valley 3: Ryan Prince went 2-for-4 with a double and Dustin Deans went 3-for-4 for the Desert Shields.
Las Vegas 4, Palo Verde 1: Zack Bradley scattered four hits over seven innings and Chad Pool had an RBI double to lead the Wildcats. Eric Newman knocked in the Panthers' run with a double.
Basic 6, Clark 2: Micah Schnurstein went 2-for-4 with a homer and a double and Brian Lake allowed just one earned run in six innings on the mound for the Wolves.
Silverado 9, Bonanza 4: Tyler Coon struck out nine batters and went 3-for-3 with a double and a triple, and Danny Esquer and Shawn McPherson each had two hits to lead the Skyhawks.
Durango 8, Chaparral 5: Coltyn Simmons, Danny Kahr and Adam Kunkel had two hits apiece and Kunkel and Paul Kelser combined on a six-hitter for the Blazers. Chris Armbruster homered in the loss for the Cowboys.
SOFTBALL
Foothill 11, Western 0: Roxanne Ritchie tossed a no-hitter and went 3-for-3, while sister Rebecca Ritchie double and tripled for the Falcons.
Eldorado 11, Mojave 0: Brentley Bridgeforth allowed no hits and struck out 14 batters and Tiffany Mathews and Stephanie Ollila homered to lead the Sundevils.
Silverado 4, Bonanza 0: Sonia Randolph tripled and Julie Brand had a pair of hits to lift the Skyhawks to victory.
Basic 7, Clark 3: The Wolves' Brittany Lorenzen went 2-for-4 and homered to lead off the game.
Centennial 10, Rancho 0: Shannon Crisp, Ashlee Dean and Amy Sauer homered and Erica Dresel scattered three hits over six innings on the mound for the Bulldogs.
Durango 4, Chaparral 0: Tisha Salamino threw a perfect game, retiring all 21 Cowboys batters and striking out 13.
Cimarron-Memorial 27, Desert Pines 1: Krystian James and Danielle Oaks both went 4-for-5 and three Spartan pitchers combined on a no-hitter for the Spartans.
Green Valley 12, Bishop Gorman 1: Laura Young homered and Suzanna Raygoza struck out nine batters and held the Gaels to four hits over five innings.
Cheyenne 6, Valley 4: Carol Dominguez went 2-for-3 with an RBI and Suzette Alvarez struck out seven batters for the Desert Shields.
Palo Verde 6, Las Vegas 5: Jan Hubers' three-run triple tied it in the sixth and Dusti Roberts homer won it in the seventh for the Panthers.
