Logandale man first in Lake Mead tourney

If Jack Gadlage can duplicate his first-round performance for two more days, he could start counting his winners share right now at the $190,000 Nevada Bassmastern Western Invitational at Lake Mead. His 15-pound, two-ounce limit was clearly the class of the field, bettering the second-place weight by over two pounds.
"I put three fish into the live well on the very first stop," admitted Gadlage, who said three days of practice on Lake Mead paid off. The Logandale resident said he caught two of his five fish limit on a jig and the rest on a Zipper worm.
Mark Tyler of Concord, Calif., put together a solid 12-pound, 14-ounce limit to place second after the first day.
Knotted up in a three-way tie for third place at 12-11 is a trio of California anglers including Kevin Wiggins of Fresno, Rich Iannolo of Menifee and Aaron Martens of Castaic.
