Letter: Column is lone voice in support of ‘notch babies’
Thursday, March 15, 2001 | 10:02 a.m.
Mike O'Callaghan's column about "Notch babies" was the best I have ever seen about it. It prompted me to send a copy to my friends and family, some of whom had never heard of it.
I am a notch victim and also my late husband; both of us were born in 1924.
I and my friend attended the meeting on Feb. 12 at the Castaways hotel. The place was full -- so many in wheelchairs and others with walkers, but they still came because of your great column.
What I don't understand is that not one TV station or reporter was there. What a shame. No one cares about the old people, and I might add there has not been one follow-up about the meeting in the papers since that meeting.
I'm one of the old folks who just wanted to personally thank O'Callaghan -- at least he cared.
