A Texas company received $1.57 million in tax incentives from the Nevada Commission on Economic Development Wednesday for its plans to build a plant in Henderson.
Poly-West Inc., a subsidiary of Poly-America Inc. of Grand Prairie, Texas, plans to open a 375,000-square-foot plant on Conestoga Way in Henderson in early 2002. The plant will initially employ 99 people, but that should increase to 500 within seven years, the company told state officials.
The plant will primarily employ machine operators, and will pay an average of $14.96 per hour. The average state wage is $14.61. The plant will make plastic film products and trash bags.
